  1. Ban 61-1published at 12 overs

Good stuff from Jake Ball. He is varying his line, his length, his pace with control. The only shot either batsman is able to connect properly with is a Sabbir pull to midwicket for three.

  2. Ban 57-1published at 11 overs

England have learned from Bangladesh and their own experiences batting on this surface. They are offering up plenty of slower balls to utilise a difficult surface. Kayes, though, is classy enough to still amass runs, which he does with a front-foot pull for four.

Rate Your Tea CC: The perfect tea? Beryl's chilli, tepid chicken dippers, undercooked wedges, soggy Wotsits, jam tart and a polystyrene cuppa.

Simon Bachelor: Sam Gunaratne, legend at @FailandCricket is famed for his Sri Lankan curry cricket tea & he loves to plunder easy runs too!

Tom Barber: As an umpire, I try and avoid the sweet stuff, nothing worse than a mid-innings concentration slump as the sugar wears off.

  4. Ban 50-1published at 10 overs

Ball is unlucky not to have two in two as new man Sabbir Rahman edges over the slips for four.

    Tamim c Vince b Ball 17 (Ban 46-1)

Welcome to ODI bowling Jake Ball! What a start for the Notts man. He digs a slower one in short and Tamim top-edges the ball high for James Vince to catch with ease. He has removed a big danger man.

Alistair Johnson: Debuted for local 2nds, 3rd over dived for a ball at gully. Dislocated shoulder - effectively ended both cricket & rugby career.

  7. Ban 45-0 (Target 310)published at 9 overs

It is hard work out there for the England bowlers. Woakes is dripping with sweat. He is still charging in at full pelt, though. He almost gets rewarded with a slower ball that catches the glove of Tamim and falls just short of keeper Buttler. Just 18 runs off Woakes five overs so far. Good economy.

  8. Ban 42-0published at 8 overs

Kayes loves a bit of leg-side action. He gets every bit of a Willey delivery to send it rocketing over the rope and send the home crowd wild. No advertising boards trashed this time, though.

The over ends with Tamim finding the rope with a little flick through backward square.

  10. Ban 28-0published at 7 overs

Woakes chances his arm with a short 'un but goes too short as he clears Tamim's head by a yard or two. Wide ball but good aggression. He continues to hit the pitch hard and it takes soft hands from Kayes to prevent a darting ball flying off the bat to gully.

Bangladesh are already starting to feel a bit of scoreboard pressure as Tamim dances down, swings wildly and misses.

  11. Ban 25-0published at 6 overs

Kayes clubs a full ball from Willey through leg side for four. England won't mind that. It was an ugly shot born of frustration with little control. It certainly won't alter the plan.

Gordon Sutcliffe: My dad made his debut for my club 2nds aged 58. Snapped his hamstring chasing a ball in the first over.

Ali Akram: debut for the district team. Dropped 2 sitters off the same guy early on. They made 250. He made 150 of them

  13. Ban 19-0 (Target 310)published at 5 overs

Woakes' first over went for 11 runs. He has conceded just one run in two overs since. A superb response as he finds that corridor outside off. Treble twenty, treble twenty.

Any slight lapse in line is getting punished. Willey veers too leg side and is flicked down to the rope at fine leg by Tamim. It is a shame as the over was a very good one until then.

Woakes has quickly learned, after that explosive strike from Kayes, to drag his length back. Bangladesh openers look a little more wary on the back foot at the moment.

  16. Ban 13-0published at 3 overs

An old captain of mine used to tell me to aim for treble twenty - basically just short of a length on or just outside off. That is exactly what Woakes is doing here to good effect. He mixes it up with a short ball that briefly has the fielders excited for a potential caught behind but the umpire isn't feeling it.

Football Fragmento: Duckett bowled for 60 trying to push the score on. Great debut innings. You'd think he'll play for England for many years.

  18. Ban 12-0 (Target 310)published at 2 overs

David Willey finds some away swing and it is enough to keep Bangladesh in check. You can see the intention to swing hard but that extra bit of movement plants the necessary seed of doubt. Just the one leg bye off the over so a maiden to start for the Yorkshire player.

  20. Ban 11-0published at 1 over

What a start! The third ball of Chris Woakes' first over is planted into the stand courtesy of a flick from outside off to over midwicket by Kayes.

One fan has to then fetch the ball out one of the advertising boards that it had punctured after flying over the rope.

Woakes is unfortunate as Kayes edges his last ball wide of the slips for four.

It wasn't even that bad an opening over.
