Buttler batted on a different pitch. He and Bairstow counter-attacked brilliantly.
It was nice to see England showing fight right through to the end. I wasn't expecting much from Ball, but Rashid shepherded him well. Their roles seemed to reverse - Rashid seem to say to him to continue playing your way.

As regards to the spice in the middle, Buttler’s been chirpy, Stokes has been chirpy. Even though Buttler has already said he was disappointed with way they celebrated, it is international cricket. They’re allowed to celebrate.
If you give it, you have to be able to take it. I have never seen Buttler or Woakes react like that. Two classy characters, riled in such a way.
It makes the third ODI in Chittagong interesting. You’ve got to say well played Bangladesh. I think we’ve seen two very good ODIs so far.

Bangladesh captain and man of the match Mashrafe Mortaza: “I’m very happy that I’m man of match and on the winning side. Congratulations to the boys, it was not that much of a total to defend but we bowled exceptionally well.
“If you look at the other match on Friday that we lost it was not that professional I guess, but this was really professional.
“I just slogged, but luckily it helped the team and I was more than happy to get some wickets for the team. The wicket was not gripping much for our batting and I tried to play my natural shots and luckily the ball hit the right areas of my bat.
“The big match is coming up for us, we will work hard for that and let’s see what happens.”
England captain Jos Buttler: "What disappoints me the most is that we were tentative in the way we went about it. I want us to go on the front foot. It was a chaseable total. We bowled fantastically well and could have bowled them out for 190. 240 was attainable, though.
"I was disappointed in the way they celebrated but it was an emotional game. We are grown me so that was disappointing.
"It [the conditions] has been tough. We had high hopes of winning this game and going 2-0 up.Conditions are hard for us over here but the guys haven't really mentioned it.
"It is just a blip. 240 is one of those targets you can go about chasing down in 49 overs or 42. I would rather we go after it in 42. I want us to go on the front foot and attack."
Take a bow Bangladesh. They suffered a horror collapse in the first ODI but have come back superbly here. They were probably under-par with their total, but they bowled superbly to defend it. Mortaza - who gave his side a competitive total with 44 - led from the front with 4-29 from his 8.4 overs. Taskin was fierce, taking 3-47 and spinner Nasir didn't give England any room to wiggle off the hook.
There are clearly still some hot heads out there, and not just because of the humidity. Jos Buttler, who earlier squared up to some home players after he was given out, keeps his emotions in check during the handshakes but his face is a picture of suppressed rage. Ben Stokes is not as restrained and has a few words with some of the home players.
We haven't heard the last of this.

Ball's last-gasp heroics come to an end. He makes room and tries to smash the ball over extra cover but he succeeds only in sending it aerially to Nasir at deep cover. Catch taken. Game over. Series very much alive.

Taskin returns as Bangladesh look to blow this last wicket away with pace. England continue to counter-attack, though. Ball is making a name for himself. He chips down the ground for four and then digs out a yorker for another boundary down to third man. The England 200 is up. There are some very nervous looking tigers now. One home fan holds a thumb up to the camera but his face betrays the gesture.
What percentage an England win now? 25%? Higher?
Ball is a lucky man. He pokes at a wide Shakib ball and nicks it but it takes the ball past the keeper's glove. Ball makes the most of it, finding four on the leg side despite the best efforts of a man by the rope. He is 19 now from 16 balls. The partnership is 33, The runs required 47. Hope. Slim hope.
Shot Jake. He clubs a full delivery straight down the ground for four. He then makes room and pummels a one-bounce four over extra. A few of the Bangladesh fans look at each other with eyebrows raised. Surely not. They can't. Can they?
Might not the best way to approach this Jake. He misses too massive mows and then bottom-edges the ball past the keeper for two. 11 off the over. England are hanging on by their fingernails. 66 needed from nine overs.
Rashid makes room and lofts Mosaddek over extra-cover for England's first six.

Rashid welcomes Mosaddek into the attack by thrashing his first ball through mid-wicket for four. They nab a quick single and then Mosaddek spears one in. Willey, who had been getting frustrated, slog-sweeps across the line and misses. He's hit on the back leg and that's out. Bangladesh are on the brink.
