Chris Woakes has adapted his bowling well today. Rather than trying to extract swing he is looking to change his pace and rolling his wrist over the ball to ensure the Bangladesh batsmen can't line him up. Good start with the ball.

  2. How do you get Kayes out?published at 09:42 British Summer Time 9 October 2016

Imrul Kayes has scored centuries in both the warm-up game and the opening ODI. So how do you get him out?

Keep him frustrated. He looks less comfortable on the back foot early in his innings - bowl back of a length, trying to slide the ball across him. He is very strong off his pads.

  3. Ban 7-0published at 3 overs

Woakes, varying his pace between 136 and 118kmph continues to frustrate the Bangladeshi pair. Another over with just a single run. The home crowd cheered that single as if Tamim had just cleared the stand.

On the subject of collapses it was a few years ago now but I was playing my debut for Bingham Cricket Club, my local side. We hadn't won a game for two years but managed to bowl out our opponents for 40. We looked well on course to win at 35-3 but then with the prospect of the first win in so long, we stuttered to 40-9. Thankfully a young 16 year old debutant (me) came in at number 11 and knocked a single for a 1 wicket win. Still remember that game to this day.

  5. Ban 6-0published at 2 overs

David Willey, looking a bit like the Ultimate Warrior with a near full face mask of sun cream, starts well. Unsurprisingly, England are aiming a bit further outside off for Kayes to try and limit his leg side whip. Just the one run off the over. Lovely stuff.

It's a good move to bowl first. We saw that the dew came in to help Bangladesh's chase in the first game so that could be good news for England. There's also rain around, which could be good news for the bowlers.

  7. Ban 5-0published at 1 over

Testing start for Tamim who nearly falls over digging out a vicious first-ball yorker from Chris Woakes. Imrul Kayes, who spent most of innings on Friday whipping the ball through the leg side, gets off the mark with a flashing drive through cover-point for four. A man in form.

OK, here we go. Chris Woakes has the ball in his hand, Tamim and Kayes are in the middle...

There might not be live commentary of this match from the TMS team but don't think there won't be plenty of analysis and comment from them during our coverage.

Charles Dagnall and former England player Ebony Rainford-Brent will be providing updates throughout the day.

Talking of conditions, there is talk of rain and thunderstorms in Dhaka today. It is not currently doing anything mischievous but here is the forecast from BBC weather...

So, England now have a chance to wrap up this three-game contest and become the first side to beat Bangladesh in Bangladesh in seven series.

This is going to be as much a test of England's recovery skills as their cricket ability. Nearly 100 overs in punishing heat in Friday's first game left some of the England players looking like they'd just swum the channel.

Poor Jake Ball had to dig deeper than ever before to find his way to the wicket at the end of the home reply. He probably spent all of yesterday up to his nose in ice.

Bangladesh make one change, so their team is...

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza: "We’d have like to have bowled, the pitch has been under cover all day so that could mean some moisture. Nasir Hossain comes in - he is a good off-spinner and can be really great for us."

What will you do different after Friday’s collapse? “I guess it is a little bit of mindset, we just have to be a bit more sensible.”

England captain Jos Buttler: "Looking at the other night it started to skid on. We fancy ourselves chasing today. It was a good game the other day . we did a lot of things right and hope to build on that.

"Back to back games - we felt we played well and it was hard to leave anyone out.

"He [Kayes] has played really well. We need to find a way to get him out."

Friday's match had a little bit of everything - centuries, a match-winning five-for, fielding mishaps, buckets of sweat, two teams tussling for supremacy and enough twists and turns to keep M. Night Shyamalan going for the rest of his career.

At 271-4 chasing 310 for victory, Bangladesh thought they had the game in the bag. Imrul Kayes had a century, Shakib Al Hasan 79 and the home crowd were lifting the roof off the Shere Bangla National Stadium. Cue Jake Ball, Adil Rashid and six wickets for just 17 runs and England had burgled the win to send the home fans silently streaming out of the ground, roof very much back on.

England didn't just snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in Friday's opening ODI in Bangladesh, they reached down the throat of defeat and ripped victory from the far reaches of it's digestive tract.
