  1. Ban 86-3published at 21 overs

It is an interesting tussle between Rashid and these two. The batsmen are looking to get after the spinner, who is exploring his box of tricks to combat the intent. After getting a bit of tap in his previous over, Rashid responds well, keeping Bangladesh to just four singles.

  2. Ban 82-3published at 20 overs

The crowd are bouncing now. These two are leading a home counter-attack. Ball drops short and Mahmudullah swats him away for four. The partnership is 43.

  4. Ban 74-3published at 19 overs

Too full Rash. Adil over-pitches and Mahmudullah laps it up, driving powerfully through extra-cover for four. It prompts the home bongo players in the crowd to tap away enthusiastically. Talk about drumming up support. Despite the best efforts of Vince and Willey by the rope, Rashid concedes a second four from his last ball. That might be the first over Bangladesh have won.

Col: Circa 1980, 35-1 at tea chasing 38...36 all out. I was (foolishly) confident of hitting the winning runs as I went out at no.11

Justin Paul Thomas: In 2011,bowled the local champs out for 36 and at 36-4 it was won.But we lost our last 6 wickets for no run to lose on run rate

    That's just cruel...

  6. Ban 63-3published at 18 overs

The stadium DJ is doing his best to pump up the home crowd with some music between overs but this crowd have been starved of things to cheer. Ball - who has found a superb rhythm - keeps up the pressure.

  7. 'This pair crucial for Bangladesh'published at 10:48 British Summer Time 9 October 2016

    Charles Dagnall

This pair and Shakib hold the key for Bangladesh if they are going to achieve any kind of competitive total. The tail is weak and so expect a bit of attritional one-day cricket as they hosts try to rebuild. They can't do what Duckett and Stokes did for England the other day with the bat, knowing there is very little coming in later.

  8. Ban 59-3published at 17 overs

England's fielding has been top-notch so far. Even when the bowler lapses, he has often been bailed out by a man in the deep. Rashid drops short, Mahmudullah pulls, but Jonny Bairstow scampers round to push the ball back in front of the rope. Mushfiqur reaches 4,000 ODI runs with a single.

  9. Wood out of India tourpublished at 10:43 British Summer Time 9 October 2016

Some more bad news for fast bowler Mark Wood - he's been ruled out of England's tour, external of India with a broken ankle.

He's set for his third operation in 12 months after fracturing his ankle in a Championship match against Surrey.

Wood's last Test match appearance for England was against Pakistan last October.

Oh, Ball will like that. From nowhere, his slower ball grips and pops from short of a length, flying past the dangled out bat of Mushfiqur. If he is to get the four runs he needs to reach 4,000 in ODIs, he is going to have to do it the hard way. Here comes that drinks cart with the biggest bottle of pop ever seen on the back. Alright, we get it, you distribute drinks.

Nutfield vs Horley.  Won the toss and elected to bat.  I was due in at 5, so ambled off to do my ablutions with a paper only for pandemonium to break out after 10 mins with people screaming my name apparently looking for me: As I came out and started padding up our 8th man was walking back to the pavilion with only 6 on the board. I was also party to an all out for 10 on a tour match, but drink and curry from the night before were heavily involved in that.

  12. Ban 50-3published at 15 overs

Oohs and aahs all over the place as Rashid probes away at the two tentative Bangladesh batsmen. A single off the last ball brings up the home 50. They have had to battle for every one of those runs.

More a tale of recovery from collapse. Had the holiday pleasure in 2008 of seeing the Division 5 final between Jersey and Afghanistan on a Jersey greentop, the like of which the then Afghanistan had never played.  Jersey were 80 all out, before reducing Afghanistan to 42 for 7 and gibbering wrecks of nerves, before Hasti Gul whacked a couple of huge sixes and 2 fours to get them over the line by 2 wickets.   Almost certainly the greatest victory celebration I'll ever see - a mix of prayer, cartwheels , tears and jumping on each other, then prayers, which even the Jersey players loved (they were also promoted). Jersey are now back in division 5. But for those 2 sixes....

Mushfiqur Rahim starts with a couple of fours to encourage the crowd. The first one is an outside edge but the second is a lovely drive through extra cover. The best form of defence is attack.

    Sabbir b Ball 3 (Ban 39-3)

    Jake BallImage source, Reuters

This boy has a golden arm! Jake Ball picks up where he left off on Friday by cleaning up Sabbir with just his second ball. It is a short ball and offers no movement to Sabbir, who chops on to his own stumps. Bangladesh in big trouble. England flying.

  16. 'Pitch slower than Friday'published at 10:30 British Summer Time 9 October 2016

    Charles Dagnall
    BBC Radio 5 live

The pitch is currently a foot slower than on Friday. Basically meaning that a ball bowled at the same pace is reaching the batsman a touch later. Hence when we have seen Willey and Woakes open up their bag of tricks. Will be interesting to see what pace Rashid bowls today now that he has the ball in his hand.

  17. Ban 39-2published at 13 overs

Woakes finally gets a deserved rest as Adil Rashid brings some spin to proceedings. The Bangladesh tail didn't have a clue how to pick him on Friday, but these two have a bit more about them. They almost get themselves in some trouble with some dodgy running as Sabbir pokes one to mid-wicket. There was never going to be two there and Mahmudullah has to scurry back to his ground sharpish.

    Where's Young Kenny?

So, we saw this photo and a million thoughts came to mind. What caption would you write around this photo?

    Here's one for starters.....

"Re-runs of Pheonix Nights are very big news in Bangladesh."

  19. Ban 37-2published at 12 overs

You know this crowd are desperate to cheer something, anything. England are giving them nothing, though. Hearts are in mouths as Mahmudullah gets a leading edge that almost carries the ball to the man at backward point. Willey is blowing hard now. But he is doing a sterling job. Six overs for just 16. Quality.
