  1. Ban 117-5published at 32 overs

Ooh, Mosaddek has a big old swipe at a wide Stokes delivery and it just misses the outside edge. Buttler applauds as Stokes turns back to his mark. He follows it up with a great delivery, angled in and just nipping away from Mosaddek's attempted drive at the last minute. Maiden.

Mosaddek looking very scratchy here. No foot movement and playing away from his body. England will look to exploit that and starve Mahmudullah of the strike as much as possible.

  3. Ban 117-5published at 31 overs

Bounce and turn for Moeen, which is enough to give England's batsmen something to think about. Mosaddek finally gets off the mark with a drive back past the bowler, but Bangladesh can still only steal two runs from the over.

Things are going very well for India in the third Test against New Zealand at Indore. They have scored 557-5 declared in their first innings - a score built largely by a 365-run partnership between Virat Kohli (211) and Ajinkya Rahane (188).

Four of the five Kiwi bowlers went for over 100. It has been a long couple of days in the field for the tourists.

  5. Ban 115-5published at 30 overs

It's a busy but quiet stadium in Dhaka at the moment. Mosaddek has joined Mahmudullah at the crease but he can't get himself off the mark. This has been good from Stokes so far. He's mixed up his pace nicely, and keeps Mosaddek on 0 with a short delivery jammed in to his ribs.

  6. Ban 114-5published at 29 overs

Right, Mahmudullah, what do you do now? We saw the other night how vulnerable Bangladesh's tail can be. He sees out a tight over from Moeen, who's getting a decent bit of bounce, before nabbing the strike from the final delivery.

    Shakib c Buttler b Stokes 3 (Ban 113-5)

Bangladesh have hit 10 fours so far, which shows how bang on England have been with their lines.

That's a bit off from Stokes, slung down the leg side. Shakib tries to leave it, gets a bit of glove on it and Buttler takes a fine catch diving to his left. Umpire's finger goes up and Shakib has to go.

  9. 'Mahmadullah the key for Bangladesh'published at 11:32 British Summer Time 9 October 2016

Just past the half-way stage. You feel if Mahmadullah can stay at the crease Bangladesh could push through to 240/250, especially as they have added Nasir Hossain to strengthen batting. However, Mahmadullah is the key here and England will feel if they can break these two, getting Bangladesh out for under 200 is on the cards.

  10. Ban 110-4published at 27 overs

Time for Moeen to turn his arm over. He's getting a bit of turn too, as Shakib steps to the side and cuts him through point. Chance for a run out too! Shakib drops it into the off-side, takes off and realises too late that Mahmudullah isn't coming. Billings, on the field for Ball, sweeps in, takes aim and misses by some way with a poor throw.

Shiplake college 2nd 11, chasing 110 we lost by one run. I came into the changing room and smashed my bat to pieces in disappointment. Scorer then came in to say he had added it up wrong and we won by 1! Bat still broken!

  12. Ban 107-4published at 26 overs

Thanks, Phil, and morning everyone. England are going well but, more importantly, cake has just arrived on our desk...

Ben Stokes is on for his first bowl, and his first ball flies away to the boundary off a thick outside edge from Mahmudullah. Stokes rolls his eyes, stomps back to his mark and sticks to full and straight for the rest of the over.

Bangladesh have limped to 100, which is brought up by an Adil Rashid wide. This after Mahmudullah had tickled one off his legs for three. He brings up his 50 with a single.

That is all from me for now. I'm off to take on some fluids. I'll leave you in the very capable hands of Amy Lofthouse.

Joel Gaskill: Defending 140, the opposition were cruising at 100/2 with 20 overs left. With my miraculous captaincy we bowled them out for 136

Rafe Studholme: At primary school we were set a target of 28. After an hour of intense hail we came out, I got a Hatrick and bowled them for 26

  15. Ban 96-4published at 24 overs

Shakib Al Hasan looked like he was going to lead Bangladesh to victory along with Kayes on Friday before he fired a catch to the man in front of square. England have a man there again as Ball explores a short ball or two. A clear plan. Just three runs off the over.

  17. Ban 93-4published at 23 overs

If the first ODI is anything to go by, this partnership is crucial now for Bangladesh. Their tail was, shall we say, not the strongest.

The tigers in the crowd are not roaring now. One of them slumps in his chair, his hands behind his head in rueful contemplation as Rashid keeps up the pressure.

  18. 'Back in the mire'published at 11:12 British Summer Time 9 October 2016

    Charles Dagnall

There had been signs of a Bangladesh counter-attack but England did not panic because they knew that with another couple of wickets Bangladesh would be right back in the mire.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 22 overs

    Mushfiqur c Moeen b Ball 21 (Ban 89-4)

What a good catch. Moeen Ali claims his second snare of the innings, running in from fine leg to snaffle the ball before it hits the deck following a top-edged Mushfiqur pull. He was done for pace by that man Ball. A 50-run partnership ends as Engalnd reassert their dominance.

Matt: Worst collapse? New Forest league match. Opponents about 200 in 40 overs. We managed 22 all out in reply

Jonny Comfort: Bowled the opposition out for 68. We (Fleet CC) were 62-4 chasing to be 68 a/o and tie the game. Not a happy changing room!

Ciaran Tragheim: 44 ao -yours truly batted 7 overs for 0- got a rocket from coach before bowling out opp for 43, I took 5/4. Hung onto that since
