  1. Ban 25-0published at 6 overs

    261 runs required

Replays show that Batty's first lbw shout, against Tamim, was umpire's call. Good decision not to review.

Moeen is struggling for consistency. He gets one to pop sharply, worrying Tamim, but then veers down leg, making it easy for Bangladesh to add two leg byes.

  2. Ban 23-0published at 5 overs

Big shout. Batty is up, as is Bairstow after Tamim is hit on the pad. At first glance it looks like it is going down leg. There is no review.

Another huge lbw shout from bowler and keeper as Imrul tries to sweep. Again, no review.

  3. Ban 21-0published at 4 overs

    265 runs required

This is a proper battle. A real arm wrestle game of Test cricket. Moeen gets one to spit and threaten a potential edge or glove from Tamim. Imrul isn't fazed by the pressure. He has the reverse sweep out already. Didn't connect but it is clear attacking intent.

  4. Ban 18-0published at 3 overs

    268 runs required

Hello. The ball keeps very, very low off a length and practically rolls between the legs of Bairstow and away to the boundary for four byes. Bad in the short term but potentially good for England long term.

A second four in the over is more emphatic as Imrul sweeps powerfully. Positive start from Bangladesh.

I don't think I've ever seen England open the bowling with two spinners.

  7. Ban 7-0published at 2 overs

    279 runs required

England are opening with two spinners as Moeen Ali takes the ball. Bangladesh's chase is under way as Imrul steers a full ball to leg for a single. Moeen errs again to leg and Imrul cashes in with a sweep for four.

Any idea why the ground in Bangladesh is empty? What's the point of live sport if no one's there to see it? Sad. Seeing this, it doesn't bode well for the future of Test cricket.

  9. Ban 0-0published at 1 over

    286 runs required

Spin and skid straight away fro Batty, who turns one away from Tamim and then fires the ball just past the off stump. Tamim tries to take the game to Batty by dancing down by he toe-ends the ball and is fortunate to see the ball drop just short of Stuart Broad at mid-off.

Richard Keith Bee: Well that didn't last long this morning. Over to the bowlers once again. 10 wickets today please.

Arjun Sohanpal:  Bit disappointed to drop two wickets within 17 minutes, if I'm honest. Let's hope we can return the favour!

Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes stride out to the middle. First bowler for England? Mr Gareth Batty.

I'm torn on whether England should open with two spinners because their seamers did a decent job in the first innings. It's a tough call.

England's 240 all out is their lowest Test score against Bangladesh, beating the 293 they scored in the first innings.

England are massive favourites but don't rule out Bangladesh. Imrul Kayes didn't get a score in the first innings, likewise Mominul Haque who has three hundreds on this ground. If they get in...

So, Bangladesh, like England yesterday, have made light work of ending their opponent's second innings. The home side will be chasing 285 to win. Where is your money?

Batty lbw Taijul 3 (Eng 240)

Sorry. My fault. Big up Batty's ability with the bat. Next over... out. It is a common dismissal in this Test, pushing forward defensively but not getting the bat to the ball. Pad hit, bang in front, finger up. No review is saving him there.

You can't prod with your pad against spinners in these conditions. That's a case in point.

  20. Umpire reviewpublished at 80.2 overs

    Eng 240-9

It is a world record for reviews as Batty sends us upstairs for the 20th of the match. The finger is up as he is caught on the pad pushing forward to Taijul.
