Ban 109-1published at 25.3 overs
Tamim's down - he's inside edged a Stokes' short ball straight onto his ribs. The physio is straight on. That's such an awkward place to get hit. It's all bone.

Ban 109-1
That's missed the bat by some way and come off Tamim's shirt. Stokes, as the bowler, knew that wasn't out. So Tamim will remain at the crease.

Tamim instantly asked for the review.
Ban 109-1
Tamim has been given out - Stokes tossed one down the leg side, Bairstow caught it, he and Root at slip went up and Stokes just did not look interested. He's been given out, but Tamim reviews straight away.

Ansari has just bowled too full. He was not quite getting through his action and getting enough fizz on the ball. A tough start for him.
And here is Rashid, replacing Ansari, who went for 36 off his first 6 overs. There's a touch of extra bounce there for Rashid, but his first over is a tad short. Mominul and Tamim look at ease out there as they nurdle a few singles.

Dave Ellis: Brilliant start to the Test match. Very action packed for this time of the morning.

Ben Stokes seems the sort of bowler who doesn't mind what the surface is like.
Stokes concedes his first runs of the innings as Tamim flicks through mid-wicket, before another shovel into the off-side brings about a single. It must be humid out there - Cook, the man who doesn't sweat, has just had to wipe his brow down at slip. Bangladesh milk another few singles off Stokes as Rashid loosens his arms down at fine leg.

Ansari does walk in very slowly and I just wonder if he hasn't got that rhythm to get through at the moment.
This has been super speedy from Bangladesh, who have gone from 1-1 to 101-1 with relative ease. England's spinners, again, have struggled to find that control.

You'd think you were at an ODI game at this rate.
Ban 100-1
A loopy full toss is given the treatment by Mominul, smashed through the covers for four. That's a couple of times now that Ansari has served up a full toss. A clipped single brings up the hundred for the home side, and the 100 partnership from just 123 balls.

Bit of a worrying time for Alastair Cook at the moment and he needs to find the right bowler to pick up a wicket. I think Ben Stokes is the key.
Big appeal for an lbw from Stokes. Bairstow looks interested, Stokes less so - it looked high and, indeed, it pitched outside leg. That's another maiden from Stokes though. He's giving Cook the control he's been searching for from his spinners.

Jonathan France: Ansari looking like he's got "Kerrigan Syndrome". Could be his first & last Test. Leaking too many runs.
Vikas Yadav: England should try Joe Root to break this partnership.
A little dab sweep from Tamim brings him a boundary. He's looked in complete control against Ansari. He can't get his line right, and a fuller delivery is driven through the covers for another four. He hasn't bowled badly, or any differently than you'd expect someone on debut with a few nerves to. Just the batsmen have played him with aggression.

This pitch is a lot darker than in Chittagong, the soil clay content is a lot more and it settles quicker, the ball will come on to the bat.
