  1. 'You can let the pitch do some of the work'published at 04:57 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

Here's more from England debutant Zafar Ansari, speaking yesterday:

“People will be constantly making judgments about my performance but I’m on the tour to India and I’ve been bowling well in the nets. I see this as the first game of many," he told BBC Sport.

“In England as a spin bowler, most of the time you are fighting the conditions so this changes your relationship with the ball. You can let the pitch do some of the work for you out here.

“It is great preparation for coming up against some of the best batsmen in the world out in India.

“I have never really thought about cricket as my career, it’s just something I enjoy doing and I can make some money out of.

“I have done a masters in American history, self defence in America. I should get my results while out on tour.”

With Finn, as they say, you can't tell anything from the nets, but when you never play in the middle it's all you've got.

Ex-England batter on Test Match Special

I was in the Surrey academy with Zafar Ansari and he was lovely. Chris Woakes was the nicest man in English cricket has just been pipped by Zafar. He has a lot of interests outside cricket and I wonder if that will benefit it. When you've got a bit of balance behind you it helps.

  5. Mushfiqur makes 50th appearancepublished at 04:51 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim has become the third Bangladeshi to register 50 Test appearances.

He made his debut back in 2005 as an 18-year-old.

"It's my 50th Test match and it's been a long journey, almost 11 years. We have really progressed a team," he said.

"The last few years we have  been playing really well. Hopefully the confidence is set up and we can have a good show."

  7. The Great Bangladesh Bake Off?published at 04:44 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

Here's England debutant Zafar Ansari, speaking yesterday - and explaining his unusual preparation for the Test:

“I have arranged with the doctor and the physio to prepare by watching the final of the Great British Bake Off tonight as I missed it – that’s the plan. I will have a normal evening," he told BBC Sport.

“I missed out a year ago [when he was injured hours after his first Test call-up] so for this opportunity to come back around so quickly is really nice, I’m really excited.

“At the moment I feel comfortable, we have had plenty of preparation and coming into a strong team feels protective.

“Gareth Batty bowled very well in the first Test and deserves to keep his place in the side but they want to see their options for India. We’ve spoken, he’s very comfortable and he will support me."

  10. More from Cookpublished at 04:37 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

You've made two bowling changes - did you consider any changes in your top order?

England captain Alastair Cook: "Not for this game. It's the natural way that batters normally get more chances."

  11. Captain's viewpublished at 04:35 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

England captain Alastair Cook: "We would have batted first. This pitch will possibly turn more and more. As we've said over the 24 hours, Steven Finn comes back and there's a debut for Zafar Ansari. We've picked a side good enough to win this game, balanced with the amount of cricket we've got coming up. It's a good test for those guys."

  12. Captain's viewpublished at 04:34 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim: "It looks like a dry wicket. Batting wise, it will be easier than Chittagong.

"We have brought in another spinner. We thought it's the way we should go. It brings us one more attacking option."
