  1. Ban 86-1published at 20 overs

Stokes will replace Moeen, as Cook searches for some control. It'll be interesting to see how Tamim takes him on too. Mominul casts a careful eye over five deliveries, before having a flash at the final ball. That flew through to Bairstow. Stokes has a chunter, then ruins the image as he wipes his face down with a hanky.

You might have to have a spinner with a seamer. You've got to mix it up otherwise they look to be so much in control. Batting has been very, very easy.

Zafar Ansari is of course a Cambridge University graduate. The last Oxbridge player to play Test cricket was Ed Cowan of Australia and the last to play for England was Ed Smith in 2003.

  4. Ban 86-1published at 19 overs

A full toss from Ansari could go anywhere, but Mominul hits it straight to a diving Cook. Ooh, that was different - took a bit of extra bounce and it just surprised Mominul, who hip bumped it away to safety. Stokes is swinging his arms at mid-wicket, which implies we'll be seeing a change very shortly.

Anything pitched up they are not afraid to play down the ground. They are going at five runs an over which shows you the mindset of the batsmen. if you are willing to play shots you can pick up some quick runs.

  7. Ban 84-1published at 18 overs

Tamim is playing with real confidence. He's up on tippy-toes to a Moeen delivery that bounces, working it away into the covers. Moeen's conceded 23 from his six overs this morning.

  10. Ban 81-1published at 17 overs

Ansari's first wicket in first-class cricket was Alastair Cook. Admittedly, Cook was on 120 at the time and Ansari described the delivery as "an absolute pie" but there's worst first wickets to take. He's a tad too wide here but Bangladesh have to settle for a solitary single.

  12. Ban 80-1published at 16 overs

It's a good tussle between the batsmen and Moeen so far. It's spinning but Bangladesh just aren't letting Moeen settle. This pair steal singles where they can, before Mominul drives Moeen back over his head for four. Glorious.

It's a very good toss for Mushfiqur to win, the pitch is a different colour to Chittagong. As soon as the batsmen realised it is a good pitch to bat on they have been going for their shots.

It wasn't a bad first over from Ansari at all. Tamim is going after these spinners and it is a fascinating spectacle. I'm sure Bangladesh will know there are frailties with the England spinners.

  15. Ban 72-1published at 15 overs

A horrid hack from Mominul brings about nothing but groans from the England fielders. Better from Ansari, though, as he flights the ball in to the batsman's pads. The crowd, still cheering everything, go wild as Mominul drives into the covers for a single to end the over.

    Ban 71-1

Ansari will continue after drinks. Tamim greets him by unfurling a cheeky little sweep that Root cuts off just before it reaches the boundary.

That's his half-century up from 60 balls. Considering he didn't get off the mark for 20 deliveries, it's been some acceleration.

It's been a fascinating first hour with runs very hard to come by for the first five overs and suddenly Tamim playing some brilliant shots against all types of bowling.

  19. Not outpublished at 14 overs

    Ban 67-1

That's going over the top, so no dice for England. A great over from Moeen though - it's spinning...

Time for some drinks, in the meantime.

  20. Umpire reviewpublished at 13.5 overs

    Ban 67-1

This is a belter of an over from Moeen. Spin and bounce, and Tamim is beaten twice. Moeen spears it in, Tamim doesn't offer a shot and there's a huge shout for lbw. Cook makes the signal, and we're going upstairs.
