  1. 'I wouldn't be the same without that aggression'published at 07:31 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

TMS have also spoken to Ben Stokes about how he approaches playing for England.

"The best innings I've played for England, I've scored at a good rate and I've played my natural way," he said.

"Being able to do that in Test cricket, I've thought, why not do that in ODI cricket?

"When I've got the ball in my hand, I don't hold anything back. I never finish a spell thinking what if? I want to try everything.

"It's helped me be a competitor. I don't think I'd be the same cricketer without that aggressive side."

Totum: Awful WiFi connection on my train to London. A 75 minute journey & the Bangladesh wicket figure has not refreshed from 1.

Some more from Zafar Ansari about how he felt ahead of his Test debut.

"To have missed out on this opportunity a year ago, for it to have come around quite quickly since then it's really nice and I'm excited," he said.

"It feels like a big achievement, to have gone a year later and be able to get back into contention. To be back here now is a good feeling.

"It makes your job more interesting if you can play on different surfaces and try to adapt.

Cook explains rotation as Zansari starts

Alastair Cook has made two changes to his side today, and new boy Zafar Ansari also explained the thinking behind squad rotation.

"Gareth bowled very well in the first Test match and probably deserved his place in the side," he told TMS.

"We've spoken and he's very comfortable with what's happening. He's supportive.

"This is one match of many. While it says a lot, it doesn't say everything."

Ansari has bowled a bit better than his figures suggest but he has let himself down with the full tosses. We haven't seen too much turn from that end so it's a tough introduction. He'll be hoping for a second spell that will just help him to settle in.

Theo Sheridan: Hoping Ansari has "Rashid syndrome" and takes five-for in the second innings instead of the current diagnosis "Kerrigan Syndrome".

Dave: Very glad to see Finn in the team given this typical fast, bouncy wicket in Dhaka.

The first couple of overs the bowling was tight but then Bangladesh decided to take the attack. There wasn't much swing but England's bowlers were too loose. Nervous times for England. Bangladesh are lined up comfortably to put 300-400 on the board.

  11. Postpublished at 07:03 British Summer Time 28 October 2016

I think it's fair to say that has been Bangladesh's morning. Kayes was the only wicket to fall, but it was a poor shot to a poor ball. Tamim has built his innings brilliantly, and he's led Bangladesh in taking control of England's spinners. Ansari didn't start off too badly but there's too many full balls in there and Bangladesh have taken advantage of that.

  14. Lunch - Ban 118-1published at 28 overs

Stokes is on for probably the last over before lunch. Straight away he's aiming into Tamim's ribs, but the batsmen is up on his toes to block it away. Both batsmen are quite happy to see out this Stokes over before heading in for what I'd imagine would be a welcome sit down. Just a single, and that will be lunch.

The only other time England have played at this ground Bangladesh were 139-3 at lunch. Tamim made 85 off 71 balls on that occasion so this is quite slow by comparison!

The crowd has been steadily growing in Dhaka, and a group of tigers have just taken their seats. Rashid bowls an over with plenty of flatter, fuller deliveries, but it's easy enough for Bangladesh to keep the strike rotating. That's glorious from Mominul. Too full from Rashid and the batsman turns his wrists to time the ball to perfection down to the boundary.

I feel for the umpire right now, he had a poor game in Chittagong, but even with the naked eye it didn't look like a touch from the bat there. I guess like anything you have runs of form.

Tamim gets squarely behind Stokes' follow up delivery, a good full ball, and he and Stokes share a grin. An action packed maiden from Stokes.
