There is no answer for England here. They are shooting themselves in the foot at the moment.

  2. Ban 232-4published at 53 overs

Ansari will continue, and he's driven with aplomb through the covers for four by Shakib. The first deliveries of his last two overs have both gone rolling away. Ooh, that kept low, but Shakib deals with it beautifully. He backs away, cuts off his stumps and strolls a single.

The crowds are still coming in. They're rushing up the terraces as they hear what an exciting morning of cricket it has been.

  4. Ban 226-4published at 52 overs

Stokes is on for his first bowl of the day, replacing Moeen. He finds some bounce almost straight away, taking the top edge of Mushfiqur's bat, but the ball drops to safety. Mushfiqur and Shakib trade singles but it's a tidy over from Stokes.

England will be very disappointed with what they have done in the field this morning.

  6. Ban 224-4published at 51 overs

Another busy over: a dropped catch, a thudding drive to the boundary from Shakib and a thoroughly irked-looking Ansari wanders back to his fielding position at the end of it.

Only Steven Finn on the ground could have got anywhere near it. It was a good effort.

It goes in the book but it was a difficult one.

  8. dropped catch

If anyone was going to catch that, it would have been Finn. Mushfiqur comes down the pitch and tries to shovel over mid-off. It's high and a back-pedalling Finn gets a hand to it, but again, he can't cling on. Ansari drops to his knees in despair.

There are lots of hands on hips out there. It is the sign of an unhappy cricketer when he has got the teapot.

  10. Ban 218-4published at 50 overs

Duckett's going to have to put that drop to the back of his mind when he bats. He's struggling to regain his composure. Moeen continues, appealing for an lbw against Mushfiqur and getting nothing but a cheer from the crowd in response. Mushfiqur responds with a gorgeous reverse sweep that whizzes away for four. That was beautifully done.

The ball was up in the air for so long and Duckett had ample time to take it.

What a terrible miss from Duckett. That is an absolute shocker.

I think the review that followed was just to give England some time to gather their thoughts.

  13. Ban 214-4published at 49 overs

Plenty happening in that over but it hasn't resulted in any wickets. Duckett looks disconsolate in the deep. Shakib late cuts to Rashid at backward point, and that will be the end of the over.

  14. Not outpublished at 48.3 overs

    Ban 213-4

Pitching outside leg, so Mushfiqur is not out. It's irrelevant but I think he hit that, too. Ansari returns to his mark while Cook scratches his chin.

  15. Reviewpublished at 48.3 overs

Ansari reckons he's got Mushfiqur lbw. Cook makes the t-sign, which gives Duckett time to pop over and apologise to Ansari for that drop.

  16. dropped catch

Of the three dropped catches we've had, that is the worst. That is awful from Duckett. Shakib smashes the ball towards deep mid-wicket, it's coming right at Duckett and it comes into his hands, and then straight back out. Ansari turns away in disgust. Horrid.

I think Bangladesh have batted brilliantly. It all depends when does Cook bring in the go-to man Ben Stokes. If they can bat until tea the lead will be a very good one.

  18. Ban 208-4published at 48 overs

    Lead by 184

Moeen will continue after drinks. Shakib chops, and chops hard, but Stokes fields, then does a backwards roll as the momentum propels him backwards. A career in gymnastics may beckon.

The telling thing is when you look at the overs bowled on a raging turner is that Ansari and Moeen have bowled 16 each but Rashid has bowled five.

I think Rashid is under more pressure to retain his place because clearly the captain doesn't think he's an option when it's turning miles. Let's hope he comes on and take wickets, in which case we'll have to recalibrate our thoughts.

Jonny Bairstow has allowed 16 byes this morning, and I can't fault him for any of them.
