England are trying all they can to find this wicket. Stokes hard charged in and banged the ball into the pitch. Kohli has been out to the short ball before. I'm not sure that he can bowl many more overs of this.
An excellent diving stop from Anderson on the boundary off a Pujara pull saves two runs and takes a big lump out of the turf. Stokes claps in approval at fielding that is more to his liking.

Easy to see why Cook was so downhearted at losing the toss. It plays far too important a role in India. One toss of a coin has gone a long way to meaning India aren't going to lose this match.

Meanwhile in Colombo, England women have finished on 240-9 in their final ODI against Sri Lanka.
A career-best 45 from Danielle Hazell and 77 from Nat Sciver helped England recover from a precarious 58-6.
Victory for England will seal a 4-0 series whitewash after they secured their place in the 2017 World Cup by winning the second ODI.
India bring up their 150 and the partnership between Pujara and Kohli is now worth 129 as the latter picks up three from Moeen's fourth over. He's conceded 14 from them.

Small Man Peaky: Sorry but Root has to be the best batsman in the world. Kohli scores on roads in sub-continent and Australia. Was terrible in England.
Psychedelic Ninja: Not the question I know, but, I think Kane Williamson is better than both of them.
Just waking up? Perhaps you've done a full gym session already? If you're just joining us, you've missed India captain Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara leading an impressive India recovery against England in Visakhapatnam.
With unbeaten fifties apiece, they have shared an unbroken century stand for the third wicket, compiled from the depths of 22-2 after Stuart Broad and the fit-again James Anderson struck early with the ball.
Pujara 64, Kohli 62
A more uneventful over from Stokes with just the one to Kohli off it.
He looks like he's cooled off after the frustrations of his previous over. It wasn't an easy catch to Rashid but both Geoffrey Boycott and Michael Vaughan said before the start of play that England had to take all their catches today, given the placid nature of the pitch. A chance that they couldn't afford to spurn, unfortunately.
Virat Kohli and Joe Root are both playing their 50th Test. To mark the occasion, we're holding a celebratory vote. The question is simple - who is the better batsman?

Statistics correct at start of play in second Test.
Short from Mooen and he allows Pujara to pull him for four as well as picking up a couple of twos.
Almost halfway through the day and India are well set at 139-2 after being reduced to 22-2 five overs in. Broad removed Rahul for a duck before an Anderson lifter induced a Vijay glove to Stokes, who claimed both catches.
India have moved along pretty serenely since until the last couple of overs which have seen an unsuccessful Moeen review for lbw to Pujara before Rashid dropped Kohli off Stokes at fine leg.
Both India batsmen have reached their fifties with Pujara on 64 and Kohli on 61.

Stokes is running in and bowling bouncers. He wants them to play pulls and hooks. Rashid is the flakiest fielder in the England team. If you're trying to get a top edge, it is a good idea to get one of your best fielders at long leg. Why did England have Rashid in such a critical position?
Ben Stokes REALLY isn't impressed with Adil Rashid as Kohli tucks him down to the man who has just dropped him. Rashid's tumbling attempt to prevent the boundary is pretty ropey and the ball squeezes under him and goes for four. Adil's heart must have sank when the ball came towards him again.

Stokes is furious. In these games, and in these situations, you want to take those. It went quickly down to Rashid and it wasn't an easy catch. I think the body language of some of the team was a little unkind.

Kohli didn't play it very well. Stokes skids the ball on to you. Some bowlers get the ball to slow up less off the surface - Stokes is one of them.
Ind 133-2
Even bigger disappointment for England - captain Kohli top-edges a pull off Stokes down to Rashid at fine leg. He's slow off the mark but dives forward and has it for a split-second but the ball dribbles out as his hands hit the ground.
India add a couple of singles to the total from the remainder of Moeen's second over. A bit of bounce from the off-spinner too in that over. Something for England to hold on to but should he have been given a bowl earlier?
Ind 130-2
No... decent turn from Moeen but it struck Pujara comfortably outside off-stump. It was hitting the stumps but that's immaterial. England lose one of their reviews. Not a wise choice from the tourists.

Pujara was well on the front foot, but that won't bother the computer.
