Only problem with fencing lessons would be a right handed fencer would have the right leg forward but a right handed batter has left foot forward. Having said that, watching all the batsmen fence with the wrong hand so the correct foot was forward could be hilarious.

    Moeen 71, Bairstow 37

The bustling Bairstow sweeps Jadeja for two to fine leg and the fifty stand arrives from 86 balls, Moeen nonchalantly taps his bat towards the Yorkshireman in recognition of their partnership.

Not fencing, ballroom dancing lessons. After winning "Strictly" Ramprakash had two of the best county seasons ever. Teach them the quickstep.

Lovely hitting again from Jonny. There are three men out there on the leg side for Ashwin, who reaches 62mph with one of his deliveries, but he evades them all and it comfortably clears the ropes once more. No fours yet for the Yorkshireman, he's dealing in sixes.

Padmanabhan: You forget Sehwag, Geoffrey! The Indian team of Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Laxman and Kumble is among the best.

Tom: Australia, early-to-mid 2000s. Best cricket side I've ever seen.

    Moeen 71, Bairstow 28

Jonny does strike a clean ball, down on one knee and the slog sweep soars over mid-wicket for the keeper's second maximum of the innings. Wherever it landed it has done some damage to the ball and Jadeja is handed a replacement. There is an lbw against Moeen as he sweeps on the line of off-stump, India have one review left but they decide not to gamble with it.

Ashwin is more interesting to watch than Jadeja, who is a bit more mechanical, but Jadeja knows what he is doing. He's accurate, quick through the air, tormenting the right-handers and also has left-hander Cook five times in the series.

    Moeen 71, Bairstow 21

A silly point under the helmet in addition to captain Kohli at slip for Ashwin against Moeen. Earlier we saw that helmet cost India five penalty runs when Kohli's throw pitched slap bang on the top of it. Imagine if England were to win by two or three runs...

How about giving English batsmen fencing lessons to help them move their feet batting against spin. Similar techniques involved I feel. Move forward lunge move back parry. No need to wave one hand in the air though.

    Jadeja 2-55 from 20

Jadeja returns and beats a tired looking prod from Moeen off the back foot but there is no edge, only excited shrieks from the India fielders. England reach 200, having twice been bowled out for under that in the series.

What an enchanting player Moeen is when he gets going. Bairstow has settled in with one eye-catching shot just before tea.

  12. Eng 199-3published at 64 overs

    Moeen 71, Bairstow 19

Moeen is a different man, launching the dangerous Ashwin over long on for his seventh four, within inches of a six. The mercurial spinner then spins one extravagantly past the outside edge to remind the left-hander that he is still a threat.

This India team won't become better than the India team which had Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman and Ganguly.

Two slips for Umesh, who has been up at 91mph at times today. Bairstow gets an inside edge dangerously close to the off stump down to fine leg, where Ishant fields, the exertion loosening the leggy seamer's much-fabled bun. Jonny keeps the bowling with a more controlled guide to third man.

I'd pick the 2001-2007 Australian side. You had Gilchrist, the return of leg-spin with Warne, three great fast bowlers in McGrath, Gillespie and Lee.

  16. Eng 187-3published at 62 overs

    Ashwin 0-46 from 16

Ashwin ambles to the crease in predatory fashion again but both batsmen collect comfortable singles.

Liam Dawson won't have his pads on, but he will have them to hand. He should be a decent number eight, because he started his career as a batsman.

  18. Eng 185-3published at 61 overs

    Moeen 65, Bairstow 11

Moeen keeps the bowling with a clip past the two men close in on the leg side. Who'd have thought he would still be there after he was scratching around like an old hen at Ashwin in particular early in his innings.

    Geoffrey Boycott
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

Geoffrey gives his reaction to West Indies of the 1980s finishing top of our vote earlier:

The people who voted were very smart. Unlimited bouncers, the fastest bowler I ever faced in Michael Holding, the most difficult bowler to score off in Joel Garner, Malcolm Marshall who was the best bowler of the lot, and the nastiest of the lot who was Colin Croft - tail-enders were terrified of him. Then with Viv Richards, Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes... I told them that I'd like to come back as a West Indian. You bat once, you don't have to bat against their bowlers, and you get a day off at the beach.

Plenty of firepower for England to come in the form of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, from 3-7 this is perhaps my favourite middle order since Gower, Lamb, Gatting and Botham. Who did they have an seven back then? No-one like Buttler. Was it Paul Downton? Anyway, we're ready to resume, with Umesh Yadav.
