I wonder if Ben Stokes is carrying a slight injury and England don't want to risk him. They are doing well - they don't need to have him bowl.

  2. WI 244-8published at 46 overs

    Target 297

Is Nurse going to go big? He gives himself space and an outside edge bounces short of third man and they go through for a single.

Surprisingly, it's Bishoo who finds the boundary with a club down to midwicket for four. And he goes again! Opens up his body and drags it over to the leg-side. 12 from that over.

  4. WI 231-8published at 45 overs

    Target 297

Devendra Bishoo, the new man in, drives a single to get off the mark. The West Indies will need 65 from these final five overs, with two wickets in hand.

  5. 6 runs

    WI 231-8published at 44.5 overs

Ooft! Ashley Nurse gets down on one knee and whack, that's gone well over the rope. He makes an almighty mess of the next delivery though, the ball going high into the air. Three fielders get under it, and three fielders watch the ball crash to the floor in the middle of them.

That's the nail in the coffin for the West Indies. Carlos Brathwaite is a player who, once he gets going, can take the game away from the opposition.

You want to see a close game. Winning so convincingly doesn't paint the best picture, you want a competition.

It's an easy win for England

    Brathwaite c Root b Woakes 12 (WI 224-8)

Here's Chris Woakes, and his first two deliveries are pinpoint accurate. Carlos Brathwaite wants to swing hard but Woakes bowls a fuller length to keep him quiet. Eventually Brathwaite's patience runs out, a big heave-ho goes sky high and Joe Root snatches it up.

  8. WI 223-7published at 44 overs

    Target 297

Brathwaite isn't giving up as he slaps a short ball from Finn past long-on for four. That was pure power. The England bowler, sorting out his side-swept hair, walks back to his marker with a grin. Much better from Finn for the rest of the over. Eight off it.

Brathwaite has no choice other than to go for it now. The asking rate is 11.5. They need boundaries.

  10. WI 215-7published at 43 overs

    Target 297

Liam Plunkett fires through another over, with new man Ashley Nurse working a few singles here and there. It's dropped a little quieter in Antigua.

The West Indies have a lot to do now. It's not a pitch where you can catch up with the rate easily enough.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 42 overs

Mohammed run out (Finn) 72 (WI 210-7)

And Jason Mohammed is gone. And with it, you assume, so is West Indies hopes of a win. A fine innings but it will be hard work for the hosts now.

That was great work from Finn - sidefooting the ball into the stumps as the batsman struggled to get home because of cramp.

    WI 210-6

Mohammed and Brathwaite take some easy singles. Finn won't mind that - singles won't do it, they need to go big. But it's the last single of the over which proves interesting, Finn with some clever footwork side-foots the ball onto the stumps and is Mohammed on his way back to the pavilion?

  15. WI 205-6published at 41 overs

    Target 297

Jason Mohammed, still moving stiffly, takes a quick single and just slides his bat home to avoid the ball that is trickling towards the stumps. He and Carlos Brathwaite, who absolutely towers above him, have a fist bump and a quick chat.

  16. Postpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2017

Here's Carlos Brathwaite, who England all have very fond memories of. Or perhaps not. He's only made one 50 in all forms of cricket since that World Twenty20 final.

That was short of a length, held back and it deceived the batsman.

    Holder c Buttler b Plunkett 4 (WI 201-6)

Got 'im! A slower bouncer does for Jason Holder. No foot movement, a bit of a waft, and an easy take for Jos Buttler behind the stumps. The imposing figure of Holder trudges off, as Liam Plunkett celebrates his third wicket of the afternoon.

I'd like to see Stokes bowl here today. I wonder if we'll see him come in at some stage today to try and make an impact.

  20. WI 201-5published at 40 overs

    Target 297

Steven Finn is introduced back into the attack. Jason Holder will face him. These two have a combined height of over 13 foot. Big lads.

Holder and Mohammed rotate the strike. Five from the over.

96 required from the final 10. Still no sign of Ben Stokes.
