  1. Not outpublished at 33.1 overs

Nope. It was hit into the ground from Carter. I'm not sure anyone thought that was out.

  2. Umpire reviewpublished at 33.1 overs

    WI 147-4

Has Carter been caught and bowled by Root? It's gone upstairs. England don't look too convinced.

  3. WI 147-4published at 33 overs

    Mohammed 53, Carter 21

A bit more urgency about Jonathan Carter now, as he steps back and cuts Adil Rashid through the covers. He's more able to rotate the strike, too, as he and Jason Mohammed exchange singles. A paddle sweep, played fine, adds another couple to the total, as Rashid rounds off his eighth over.

Wickets kept falling around Jason Mohammed but he kept his composure and has played very well, scoring a maiden 50. He needs to carry on now. If he bats out the 50 overs, he'll get a hundred and could get his side over the line.

  5. 50 runs

    50 for Mohammed - WI 139-4published at 32 overs

    Target 297

Jason Mohammed reaches his 50 with a sweep off Joe Root for two. It has been a calm and composed innings, but it is almost a muted celebration as he knows he still has plenty to do for his team. Well played though.

Mohammed is playing a good knock. Carter had looked pedestrian, but he's scored a couple of boundaries since. Although he's still living a little dangerously.

  7. WI 134-4published at 31 overs

    Mohammed 47, Carter 14

Jonathan Carter hasn't been finding it easy. Best way to get out of the rut you've dug yourself into? Swing yer arms. He throws an almighty hoicked sweep at Adil Rashid and gets the ball away for a welcome boundary. There's then a huge shout from bowler, keeper and fielders for caught behind, as Carter shapes to cut a delivery that turns late past the bat. No dice, though, and Carter recovers enough to swing another boundary.

It's still a bit of a struggle for the West Indies team. With 20 overs to go, this 296 is not looking so possible at the moment. But you never can tell.

  9. WI 123-4published at 30 overs

    Target 297

It's spin for spin as Root replaces Moeen. He is still rocking them sunglasses. Solid bowling from the Test captain, with first five balls not going for any. Then just a couple from the final delivery for Carter.

30 gone. England were 145-4 at this stage of their innings.

Liam Plunkett is a great one-day player, overlooked so many times, quite a shame really we have never quite got to see him realise his full potential. Hopefully he gets an extended run now...

  11. WI 121-4published at 29 overs

    Target 297

Rashid's bowled the googly so well today, again beating Jonathan Carter's prod forward and leaving the batsman looking a bit daft. Carter keeps his hands soft and the ball flies to Joe Root at slip, bouncing just in front of him and allowing the batsman to nab a single. It's a bit of a slog, this, for the Windies.

Jonathan Carter is using up a lot of deliveries without scoring at the moment.

There's some right characters in this crowd. I've just seen a large man, dressed in a Geri Haliwell Union Jack dress. Oh and he has a mohawk.

Jason Mohamed has been the man of this West Indies innings so far - he picks a wide-ish Moeen deliver and takes a big swing to smash the ball through to the mid-off boundary for four.

  15. WI 112-4published at 27 overs

    Mohammed 39, Carter 1

Jason Mohammed gets down on one knee and hammers a sweep off Adil Rashid, before Jonathan Carter gets in a horrible tangle trying to knock Rashid's googly into the ocean. He completely misreads it and the ball ends up just trickling past the stumps. A couple of singles here and there keep the runs ticking over.

  16. WI 109-4published at 26 overs

    Target 297

That was an important breakthrough for England. Back to the rebuilding stage for the Windies as they go past the halfway stage of their innings.

    Good over here from Moeen.

One run from the last 12 balls, with one wicket. Momentum firmly with the tourists.

England clearly want to win, but they'll be keen for it to go to the wire to test their bowler's skills etc.

  18. WI 108-4published at 25 overs

    Target 297

Jonathan Carter is sweeping almost straight away, but it's straight to the lurking fine leg. A tidy over from Adil Rashid, and a maiden to boot.

It's not easy for a big fella to get down to the turf that quickly, so props to Steven Finn for reacting so swiftly to that. A nice bonus for England too after Moeen took a bit of tap in the previous over. Anyway, it's Jonathan Carter to the crease for the West Indies.

Steven Finn did well to get down on it. Shai Hope didn't pick it and still went for the big shot when he realised.
