Matt: Phil Tufnell, but it would be a liquid lunch rather than a dinner.

Craig Heald: I'd have to say Kumar Sangakarra. Seems a genuinely good guy and very humble.

South Africa's batsmen should go out there and go just express themselves, entertain the crowd. Who cares if you lose 2-1 or 3-1?

There will be rough patches for Moeen to bowl into. When Moeen was batting he just took the attack to Maharaj. South Africa shouldn't go out there and just slog it, but play with a positive approach.

Heino Kuhn has struggled in this series, he hasn't technically or mentally found a way out of it - and now he's carrying an injury - it's been tough.

    SA need 380 to win

    Goodness me.

Heino Kuhn wants desperately to get off the mark and tries to thump one out of M16, but misses James Anderson wide-of-off-stump delivery by a whisker.

England skipper Joe Root with an "ooooh".

    Oh my.

Kuhn is all over the place. This time he does edge it but it narrowly evades a diving Keaton Jennings at third slip and the South Africa opener gets four.

And a jaffer to finish off the over. Superb stuff from Jimmy.

For South Africa, this isn't a time for big emotions or to say 'come on' - it's just about being skillful, thinking and understanding what needs to be done. They need a big partnership. If they go three down, it will probably just be a matter of time.

England have set South Africa 380 to win this fourth Test match. The Proteas need victory to level the series.

Dean Elgar and Heino Kuhn stride to the middle. Kuhn - a bit like Keaton Jennings - is a walking wicket, so can they get Hashim Amla in before lunch?

Just to let you know that this session will end at 13:30 BST, because of the rain delay.

    "Play".

Lucky enough several years ago to share dinner with Desmond Haynes, Brian Lara and Sir Garfield Sobers. Magical evening.

Like Alex Hales, Jos Buttler struggles to differentiate between the two formats and he shouldn't bother trying to, he should just bat his natural game in both white ball and red ball cricket.

Going to Australia, you need to pick someone who can play quick bowlers and Mark Stoneman really can.

If you took a Jonathan Trott from five years ago and put him in now, this England team would be unbelievable.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

With Dawid Malan, I think he has been brought up so much with the white ball that he's got all the tricks and scoring options. But in Test match cricket those that are consistent only have two or three shot options.

In Test match cricket you're never really 'in' because you're playing against world class bowling. In the county game, you get to 20 or 30 then you have more of a chance of getting a hundred.

I'd love to see Moeen Ali bat number five. I don't think anyone else we've mentioned is better than him. He's doing an amazing job for England and you can go "there you go, you're batting number five, you're not a real bowler." - He's just gorgeous to watch.

Whilst I appreciate the value that Moeen offers at eight, why are we not talking about the option of him opening? He plays correctly and can deal with hostility.

Keaton Jennings is a poor man's Marcus Trescothick. He copies everything about Marcus - the way he walks and the way he stands. But he didn't copy playing the ball like him.

I don't know what Mark Stoneman has done wrong. Who, in the England dressing room, does not rate him?

The reason Alex Hales didn't do it in Test cricket was that he believed all the press that he had to change his technique. I think that's nonsense. In one-day cricket, he has a simple game. If it's straight, he blocks it, anything else, he smacks it. I'd bring him back to open.

Haseeb Hameed is the one that England will be desperate to get back into the side. I've seen him for Lancashire and what's evident is that if you bowl full of a length, his right shoulder comes in too soon and he nicks it quite a lot.

He has work to do. He's only a young kid. He needs some confidence playing in the county game. He's good against spinners but against seamers he struggles. I don't think England would consider him at the moment.
