Josh Verrills: As Ashes warm-ups go, England would've learnt more going into the Ashes by playing England Lions than this West Indies squad.

Time for spin for the first time in this second West Indies innings as Moeen Ali has a turn of the arm. Nicely bowled first up - there's some bounce and Brathwaite looks to cut and misses.

More turn from Moeen as the opener just about manages to get the inside edge of his bat on the ball and it rolls past short leg. Encouraging first over from the England spinner.

Can we stop hearing how the demise of the Windies is making certain legends sad? We get it, they were pretty good last CENTURY. Let's beat them, beat them well and send a serious message to the Aussies.

We've seen the ball keeping low now and again, as a back-of-a-length delivery travels through inches above the ground and stings Jonny Bairstow on the fingers. He takes his glove off and give his hand a shake. He's fine. Consecutive maidens for England.

Can he have his ball back?

Now there's a fancy dress conga line in the Hollies Stand. Bishops, a stormtrooper, bananas, Mexicans, umpires, lifeguards. There's almost more in the conga than in their seats.

Roland-Jones bowling full and consistently aiming at the off stump. Nothing spectacular but enough to prevent runs as the Middlesex seamer notches up his second maiden of the innings. He's figures are 4-2-14-4.

This sort of situation is made for Kraigg Brathwaite. He's a gritty player. Its a time for him to grind away and settle in.

  8. WI 49-2published at 14 overs

Shai Hope tucks it through square leg to get off the mark. Brathwaite tentatively pokes a short delivery to long-leg for a single of his own. An inside-edge sends the ball trickling to short mid-wicket for the third single of the over.

They're loving these singles but get a bit too excited as Brathwaite looks for a dab and run and is sent back by Hope. That would have been a silly one to risk.

If the forecast is to be believed, we shouldn't see any rain delays for the rest of this evening.

West Indies used to do to England what England are doing to them now. It's really sad to see the demise of West Indies over the years I've been watching. The under-19 team is winning in South Africa now, so there is talent. But if you are going to produce a Test team, you have four or five senior players to gel junior players. This is generally just a load of junior players and it's very, very difficult.

Roland-Jones pitches it up and a thick inside edge from Brathwaite and the ball races away to the fine leg boundary for four.

This ball and the pitch is doing a bit, as Roland-Jones gets the ball rising well off the deck.

It's time for a drinks break. West Indies need 300 more to avoid an innings defeat. There is still 50 minutes and a session to go today. It's only day three.

Stokes has tightened things up. When you've got a team on the ropes, you've got to bowl straight. We saw a lot of lbw dismissals in the first innings.

  12. WI 42-2published at 12 overs

    Brathwaite 19, S Hope 0

Ben Stokes, yet to really get into the game, continues. He scored 10 runs with the bat, albeit in circumstances where England were already in control, and was wicketless with the ball in the first innings.

A tight and tidy over. Short or back of a length, angling into the batsmen, who fend it away. Just one from it.

Flash Banding: Fazeer - the two divisions is silly for Tests. WI may climb back, Pakistan may fall down, Sri Lanka get great, let them shine!

David Merson: Two tier #Test cricket? Div 1. Ind, SA, Eng, Aus, NZ, Pak Div 2. SL, WI, Ban, Zim, Ire, Afg.

  14. WI 41-2published at 11 overs

Shai Hope replaces his brother Kyle. Shai, at 23, is five years younger. What a strange shot that was! It's wide outside off and Hope plays it as if he is swinging a lightsaber in slow motion. He doesn't connect - fortunately for him.

So a wicket for Roland-Jones. It was a change of ends for him that did the trick, so credit to the captaincy of Joe Root.

    Hope lbw Roland-Jones 12 (WI 41-2)

It was just clipping the leg stump and, as it was given out, the umpire's decision remains. It was full, it was straight and it was another poor way to lose a wicket for West Indies. 65 minutes until tea, how many more wickets will Windies lose?

Here's Ben Stokes, coming over the wicket, and Kraigg Brathwaite tucks him off his hip for a couple. There's some extra bounce on show from Stokes and he surprises Brathwaite, who shoulders arms to consecutive deliveries. Just the two from that over.
