These conditions are absolutely perfect for James Anderson.
Brathwaite 0, Powell 0
Here we go. Anderson to Kraigg Brathwaite.
And here is the wicket that brought an end to the England innings.
As I said previously, England will be happy to be bowling now even if a little miffed at their low first innings total.
The floodlights are on at Headingley. It is dark and overcast with 45 minutes of play left.
A reminder Jimmy Anderson is eight wickets short of 500. I doubt he'll get those tonight but you never know...

Iain Stirling: By dropping Root and Stokes early the West Indies have to pay dearly for an added 142 runs as a result. That's going to hurt.
A very strange innings to sum up. West Indies were far, far better than at Edgbaston but it could have been so much better if they had not dropped Stokes and Root.
Shannon Gabriel and Kemar Roach both end with four wickets which is fully deserved but Gabriel does get marked down for being among the butter fingers contingent.

Although West Indies have dropped catches - and they've cost them dear - they have bowled well and should be happy after what happened at Edgbaston. I didn't see England being bowled out for 258 when they won the toss this morning.
Woakes c Dowrich b Roach 23 (Eng 258 all out)
And now the West Indies openers need to go get their pads on. Chris Woakes is the last man out with a tame edge through to the keeper.
England won't mind. It's pretty gloomy out there. A good time to be bowling...

Now it's dawning on the West Indies openers that they're going to have a tricky 45 minutes to bat tonight in gloomy conditions. England should just play some shots and get them in tonight.

Jay: How naive can West Indies be? The last thing they want is a fired up Stokes steaming in at them. No one can help them now.
And here is the wicket of Ben Stokes.
Just look at the stare he gave back to Gabriel. Something was said. I'd keep quiet if I had just dropped a man on 98 to be honest, even if I did dismiss him shortly after.
Woakes 23, Anderson 0
A mighty fine double-wicket maiden from Shannon Gabriel. He now has four wickets in this innings. He's been very good with the ball but can't escape blame for the fielding.

It's tremendous bowling - full, straight... it's almost as if Stuart Broad had the rug pulled from under his feet.

It's all happening here. Shannon Gabriel looks like a man possessed.
Broad b Gabriel 0 (Eng 258-9)
Full, straight and fast. Too good for Stuart Broad.
Broad goes for a four ball duck but remarkably it could have been worse as wicketkeeper West Indies Shane Dowrich dropped a sitter two balls earlier.
Gabriel just took the fielder out of the equation in the end and knocked the stumps over.

What a match-up that would be: Stokes v Gabriel with the gloves on. It'd be like Joshua v Klitschko.

I think Gabriel gave Stokes a send-off, something was said.
Stokes c Dowrich b Gabriel 100 (Eng 258-8)
Finally West Indies hold onto a catch to get Stokes.
After dropping him a couple of overs ago, Shannon Gabriel returns and makes amends. Stokes was trying to pull but just got a tickle through to the 'keeper.
There are a few words as Stokes walks off as well. Feisty.
Stokes 100, Woakes 23
I'm not sure what Jason Holder can say to his bowler Kemar Roach to cheer him up after Gabriel dropped Stokes off his bowling. Maybe just a clap of encouragement from the slips?
This won't help. Too short from the bowler and Woakes picks up four more.
Where do you think this Ben Stokes hundred ranks in the all-rounder's six so far in his career?
Not the strongest attack, OK, but this is the first time he has reached three figures when England have been less than 100 when he has walked to the crease.
It also came from just 122 balls. Brisk.
