  1. WI 180-2published at 54 overs

    Brathwaite 83, S Hope 70

Anderson conjures up four dot balls to start before Shai Hope drives at a full one - superb diving half-stop by Broad at mid-off limits it to two.

A wise leave outside off to finish.

    Anderson returns to the fray.

What can he conjure before tea? He's got just over half an hour.

This is only the fourth time two partners have ever registered two century stands together in a single Test for the Windies. This is the first time since Lara and Sarwan managed it back in 2001.

A lot of the rub of the green has gone the way of England so you can begrudge West Indies a bit of good fortune. This is tremendous cricket.

  5. WI 178-2published at 53 overs

    Need 144 runs to win

Jeez. Stokes does Brathwaite for pace with a short ball - the opener has no idea what stroke to play, settling for a fend/hook hybrid as the ball is edged up and away for four.

That's a better shot - a short delivery cut away for a couple to third man.

Two more singles makes it eight off the over.

The crowd know the England team need them. That is why they have been raising the noise in the last 20 minutes.

  7. WI 170-2published at 52 overs

    Minimum 44 overs remaining

Broad continues to toil away. He's bowled well and deserves more than his one wicket but this could well be the final over of his spell.

Brathwaite and Hope look like they're trying to see him off.

And that's why - a terrific delivery that Brathwaite flashes at. Bairstow goes spare behind the stumps in appeal but Broad wasn't interested. No edge there.

Brathwaite gets off strike with a single to square leg before Hope does see off the rest of the over.

West Indies have played incredibly well.

When it gets to within 100 the word winning goes through the mind and I will be interested to see how the West Indians cope with it.

Broad is creating pressure at one end. Stokes has to create and complement the pressure at the other end.

  11. WI 169-2published at 51 overs

    Need 153 runs to win

Stokes still bowling back of a length - it's too easy for Brathwaite to duck under or weave out of the way.

Just one off the over - Brathwaite riding a short ball and guiding it away fine.

Dacre: Forget the last four and a half days, if Windies treat this as a one-day game now, they can easily win.

Thomas Bonser: Fair play WI, complete contrast to last week. Good response from young team - keep them together & they'll be strong in a few years.

  13. Eng 168-2published at 50 overs

    Brathwaite 74, S Hope 67

Several rounds of applause after a series of Broad dot balls, the crowd realising England desperately need a lift.

Shai Hope leaves the last - a welcome maiden for the hosts.

  14. WI 168-2published at 49 overs

England need eight wickets to win

Stokes bowling straighter than Broad, more directly targeting off stump, adding in the odd short ball.

The Windies pair happy to clip singles into the leg side though.

Brathwaite then guides one down to third man. Then Hope guides it to a similar area for another single.

How are your nerves, England fans?

We're so bad at chasing fourth innings targets I wouldn't back us to do as well as the West Indies are doing here if the roles were reversed - we'd have collapsed 100 all out by now.

  16. WI 164-2published at 48 overs

    Need 158 runs to win

Broad has the right idea - keep probing away in the channel outside off on a good to full length and don't go too straight.

No wickets as of yet but it's limiting the runs, which will build pressure.

Bit of bounce to finish but Hope plays it well enough.

  19. WI 163-2published at 47 overs

    Brathwaite 71, S Hope 66

Hope clips away a couple before Brathwaite drops one into leg that the all-action Stokes can't prevent going for a single.

Bit too straight from Stokes first up as Hope guides away for another run.

Wahey. Hope goes for a flashy drive but misses.

He edges this one - but it rolls through the vacant third slip and off to the fence. Frustrating times for England.
