  1. WI 204-3published at 62 overs

West Indies need 118 runs from min 34 overs

The floodlights are on as Moeen comes in to Chase. Slip, leg slip and bat pad all waiting for a catch.

Ooooh. Poor from Chase he goes hard with his hands for a drive and is beaten but no edge.

Now a full toss! Where has that gone!? For four! And a no ball. Filthy finish from Mo.

I'm so pleased Moeen has changed ends. I'm surprised it took so long - the ball was talking for him last night at the Kirkstall Lane End and so it proved again with that wicket.

  3. WI 199-3published at 61 overs

West Indies need 123 runs from min 35 overs

Here we go. The final session of this match.

If anyone tries to say they thought that would happen, I don't believe you.

    Moeen Ali will start...

    An interesting point, James.

    Where will Root turn here?

Surely it will be Moeen Ali after that wicket but who else?

    The match situation is this.

West Indies are 199-3. They need another 123 runs from a minimum of 35 overs.

England need seven wickets to win the match and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

We think the cut off point will be 19:15 BST but chances are West Indies will have scored the runs by then if they haven't been bowled out.

But how important could that wicket an over before tea be?

Kraigg Brathwaite has been the rock of the West Indies batting in the first and second innings.

You can't help but feel a little sorry for him. The whole of Headingley was on its feet as he walked off.

That session was almost perfect for West Indies but in the end was still a pretty good one.

From 86-2 at lunch they reached 197 before a wicket fell.

First innings centurions Shai Hope and Kraigg Brathwaite nudged and nurdled and then found their stride hitting boundaries more freely.

No player has ever made a century in both innings of a first-class match at Headingley and there was a race on to three figures until Brathwaite fell.

It has looked a nice pitch to bat on. It has been a tremendous day for West Indies.

Have they got it in them? They should be able to win and knock off these runs but they don't know how to win matches.

I worry about them now. It always gets harder when you get closer to winning.

    Thanks Jack.

What a final session we have coming up.

All four results are still possible.

    How are the nerves people?

That's my cue to hand back live text duties to Matt 'The Wicket Whisperer' Henry.

He oversaw England's mini collapse yesterday after saying it was all going 'swimmingly' for the hosts.

What chaos will ensue under his watch in the evening session?

I'm off to write the report. Still not sure what I'll be writing yet. What a belting Test.

It's been a pleasure, hopefully catch you again soon.

  15. Tea - WI 199-3published at 61 overs

    Need 123 runs to win

Hope leaves well alone to a ball hung outside off.

He then gets in behind and shows the maker's name.

Final ball of the session - outside the channel and Hope shoulders arms.

And that's tea. Another tremendous session from West Indies.

  16. WI 199-3published at 60.3 overs

    Target 322

Chase is squared up by Anderson but gets enough on it before a decent on drive that yields no run.

A thick edge to fine leg - no control on the shot but he jogs through to put Shai Hope on strike.

Three balls to tea. Unless a wicket falls.

England need seven wickets to win

Roston Chase is the new man, he sees off the first before guiding away for a single.

Good stuff from Moeen - a vital wicket.

England will sneak in another over before tea. Anderson the man to bowl it.

That is a tremendous innings. Brathwaite's eyes lit up. He just tried to hit it a bit too square.

The reaction from Root told me everything. He has had a real panic on. He was almost on his knees.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 59.4 overs

    Brathwaite c Stokes b Moeen 95 (WI 197-3)

    THERE IT IS!

A session that has drifted miles away from England at least has a sweet ending for the hosts as Brathwaite goes to drive Moeen but just gets a thick edge through to Stokes at first slip.

A great shame he could not make his second century of the match and enter the record books.

But a terrific innings all the same. And one that could yet win the match for the tourists.
