    Powell b Anderson 45 (WI 69-3)

Bowled him! That is an absolute rozzer from James Anderson, removing the steady Kieran Powell. Round the wicket, angled in to the left-hander, straightens to shave the off bail. How do you play that? Powell held the pose and couldn't believe it had bowled him. An important breakthrough for England and Anderson now only 99 away from 600 Test wickets.

Ben Stokes is cranking it up it the dark, getting Shai Hope to hop around like a man who has stood on a piece of Lego. High-80s, a bumper, frustrated to see Hope edge for four to the vacant third man area. The Windies will have a lead before long.

I said a little while ago that I didn't think we'd still be playing at 19:30. That's now only 45 minutes or so away. The chances of us making it there are increasing. It will have to be a late curry. The tall, slender Kieran Powell is looking increasingly assured at the crease. Minimal foot movement, straight bat, the odd punch through the covers or clip off the toes. As I type, he plays a horrible drive and only gets an inside edge. Cricket makes fools of us all.

Eh? How difficult can a badger be? And why were you dealing with it? Leggy from Stokes, four leg byes off the thigh pad of Shai Hope. This is just starting to get a little concerning for England. If the Windies are still only two down overnight, will they start tomorrow as the favourites to win the match? How many could England chase? This is starting to remind me of the match between these two sides on this ground in 2000 - Dominic Cork guiding England to victory.

That cloud really is incredible. A huge tunnel of the stuff running from long-on to third man as Roland-Jones runs in to Powell from the Pavilion End. It's like someone has parked a spaceship over the ground. Powell, the Windies best batsman in this match, leans back to punch TRJ through the covers for four. This game is edging back towards being in the balance.

I've been talking about how dark it is, but it isn't because of an absence of sunlight. There's actually some sunshine in the distance, it's just that the filthiest, darkest, thickest cloud has parked itself right over HQ. It's like someone has tried to mix oil with water. If the cloud moves, we might need shades again. Hope almost offers a return catch back to Stokes, but the bowler can't get to the leading edge quickly enough. The Windies might be riding a storm here.

Jimmy Anderson is the top trend on Twitter in the UK at the moment. Roland-Jones with a new over. The bowler probably can't be seen when he's at the end of his run, so dark is it out there. Shai Hope tries a drive and gets an inside edge on to his knee. Painful. When Hope gets it right, the ball whistles to extra cover for four.

Night time at Lord's now. If this was WWII, there would be wardens patrolling the street telling you to put that light out. Fielders who earlier needed shades in the sunshine now have them atop of their blue England caps. Stokes round the wicket to Powell, half-thinking about an appeal for leg before, before realising it wouldn't have hit a second set.

Chat in BBC Sport Towers turns to who Toby Roland-Jones reminds us of. His run-up is exactly the same number of strides as his mentor Gus Fraser. I don't think TRJ is as grumpy as Gus, mind. Darker still at HQ. There's no way we'll still be playing at 19:30. Having said that, we were still playing in much darker conditions last night. Get the pink ball out.
