    Thanks, JL.

Right then. You know the score by now. James Anderson, on the verge of a special milestone, has the ball. He gets a handshake from Stuart Broad and waits at the end of his mark. Kraigg Brathwaite takes guard. The crowd are already roaring.

    Stand by...

So the scheduled close is 19:00 BST and there could be half an hour added to that to complete the 39 scheduled remaining overs. Stephan Shemilt has returned from the supermarket with a huge packet of pasta. I'm not sure how late he thinks we will be or if he has a mini stove in his holdall but, as the England players have their huddle in the early evening sunshine, here is Stephan to describe the final session.

England with a lead of 71 then, which is a useful effort from 24-4. The weather is as good as it has been for the whole match, the outfield is bathed in sunshine and Jimmy Anderson will be hoping for a few more of those dark clouds to return as he seeks to find that one wicket to take him to 500.

Oval Pigeon: Broad throws it away, leaving Jimmy a tantalizing 92 short of his maiden Test century.

Enjoyable stuff though Emma. How about these sixes from Stuart Broad? Don't try this at home etc.

That's a bizarre dismissal, short and wide. I can't really describe what shot Broad was trying to play - it was a hack. That England lead could be huge in the context of this game.

All good things must come to an end and it is one swipe too many from Broad, Dowrich collecting the edge this time. A very useful lead for England, however. The players will now take tea and there will be a scheduled 39 overs for England at the Windies in 20 minutes or so.

There's something you don't see every day, an upturned skateboard and a rucksack placed on successive seats. Not sure where the owners of those items are but they are missing some entertainment.

Could be like Headingley 2000, Windies bowled out for 61 and the test was finished in 2 days!

A second six from Broad in the sunshine, scything a cut shot at a short one from Roach who then strikes him on the glove with an aggressive bumper. Tea, which was to be at the later time of 16:45 BST, will now be extended for half an hour if these last wicket fireworks continue. We used to have our dinner later than that.

It's a shot a ball from England's final pair, a glorious cover drive from Anderson bringing another boundary and Broad launching a towering heave at Holder that soars up and plugs a few feet short of the rope. The partnership extends to 23.

Broad is batting like a baseball player that has never played cricket. He's trying to back off and swipe everything over mid-on. He's missing it by a country mile but if he gets hold of it, it will go a long way. He's just swinging the bat as hard as he can. It's a short boundary down to the Mound Stand and this one just kept going.

Hard for West Indies to set a field to this, Broad is adopting a cavalier approach and no-one has any idea where the ball is going to go. But after top edging over the slips for four he gets hold of one that sails into the crowd at extra cover.

Grant: Once again it is our middle and lower order batting that is saving us. Our top need to get themselves sorted urgently.

PD31: Low scoring game, 40 is a handy lead.

Jimmy is off the mark with a single greeted by a huge cheer and there is another for an overthrow, which has a catalogue of errors akin to the village green. After all that rain, 30 overs have been completed in the day, so no refunds I'm afraid folks.

Full, swinging outside the off stump, Roland-Jones went for the drive. It was good bowling because lower-order batsmen will always go for the big drive. It was a solid catch, jumping to take it with the fingers pointing down.

Toby has a dart at it and is smartly snaffled at waist height in the gully. That brings in Jimmy Anderson, who could get his 500th wicket tonight... if he is not still batting of course.
