It's been a good Test match, the West Indies turned up for this series, I was thinking it would be 3-0 to England.

It's been a good Test match, the West Indies turned up for this series, I was thinking it would be 3-0 to England.
Stoneman plays a delicate sweep for two, he finishes 40 not out and England have won by nine wickets with the sun still shining. It's bucketing down somewhere, those clouds are the colour of charcoal, but it's all smiles from captain Root and his England team on the balcony.
Stoneman 37, Westley 43
Westley brings out the sweep to Chase and collects his sixth boundary, soon adding a seventh as a wristy flick dispatches a long hop through mid-wicket. Four more needed.
Target 107
Now we were due to have tea at this point, but common sense has prevailed and it will be extended by 15 minutes. There are 14 still to knock off.
Stoneman 37, Westley 32
Stoneman is content to play out a Chase maiden and there are still 15 required for victory.

I think the older you get the more fun you have.
Target 107
Sounded like a clap of thunder in the distance there but Westley is unperturbed, seizing on to a short one from Bishoo and pulling emphatically to the mid-wicket fence.

There goes a legend.
Henry Blofeld

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is that. Thank you. I must try not to fall over as I hand over to Ed Smith...
19 more to win
Two slips waiting more in hope than expectation as Chase drifts in to Westley and he thumps it fluently through mid-off for his fourth boundary. Applause in the commentary box and all around the ground as Henry signs off for the final time, waving enthusiastically in his distinctive lime green jacket.

BBC Test Match Special statistician
These are your career statistics. You've described:
These are all world records that will never be beaten.
Stoneman 34, Westley 23
A maiden for Bishoo. We have to be professional but Henry's final stint is really very emotional. What a man.
Michael Shaw: Listening to @bbctms, external with a tear in my eye #blowers, external#bbccricket, external
Target 107
Two more for Stoneman off Chase out to the man patrolling the cover boundary. The threat of rain looks to have eased, thankfully.

Dan O'Brien: Must. Not. Blub. When. Blowers. Signs. Off. For. The. Final. Time.
Target 107
The new England pair keep the singles coming off Bishoo but it looks like we will have to wait until after tea to score the winning runs. Sussex chief exec Rob Andrew, who also a played a bit of rugby, is in attendance in his MCC tie, enjoying a drop of Rose by the look of it.

I have listened to Henry during stints in Moscow, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and even Kinshasa. It has enormously enriched my appreciation of cricket and - allow me this moment of brief hyperbole - possibly even enriched my life.
Adam, Tooting
Target 107
They continue for the time being and Roston Chase enters the attack for some dibbly-dobblies. A nice drive from Westley through the offside brings him a third boundary and he keeps the bowling. Lights on, 19 minutes before tea and 33 needed.

Pigeon fly past due just after tea. Henry, you'll be very much missed.
Richard Mulholland
Thank you Blowers. My dear old thing. A very nice bus is waiting for you I hope.
Chris from Northampton
Target 107
Bishoo saunters in again from the Pavilion End with his smart haircut, shaved at the sides and quiffed with some product on the top. Groundsman Mick Hunt looks apprehensive, as he often does. Is the rain going to delay us? Maiden for the spinner.
