That was a wonderful shot. Powell has come out and is asking questions of the England bowlers.

Oh, hello. Rovman Powell, reprieved in the last over, celebrates with one of the shot of the day. Full from Plunkett, 87mph, Powell simply plonks it straight for six with an effortless straight drive. Have some of that. Maybe time for some spin?

You can tell from Woakes' reaction he reckons he should have caught that. He didn't judge it well. He paused and set himself but he wasn't in the right spot. It's a chance. He should have got there. Powell could be a dangerous man to drop.

Should have been another. More back-of-a-length stuff from Ben Stokes, with Rovman Powell top-edging a pull towards long leg. Chris Woakes is the man down there, but doesn't seem to pick it up. Moving late, Woakes has to dive forward. but can't take the ball before it drops to the turf. A mixed bag from England in the field today (and all summer).

JDH: At Bourton on the water our game was delayed due to an infestation of frogs on the square...

Simon Toms: Match delayed mid over at Whale Island, Portsmouth while a Chinnock helicopter fast-roped 10 fully clad Royal Marines on pitch. We joked this was how they collected the match fees. Marines formed up, marched off without a word being said. Very surreal!

Windies are chugging here, only six runs in the previous five overs. Plunkett and Stokes have combined to sit on this middle order. Powell and Mohammed won't have much time to get settled, either. Remember, this game is down to 42 per side. We're into the last 15.

We talked about Samuels taking his time, which can be fine, but is not as good when you fail to capitalise. Stokes is up for it.

    Stokes 4-0-7-2

It was square-leg fielder Joe Root that seemed to push for the review. He;s getting better with DRS, the Test skipper. When the decision came, there wasn't much of a reaction from Stokes, just a satisfied grin and poke of the tongue. Rovman Powell is the new man.

I'm sure someone in the huddle might have been saying "give him a salute, Stokesy" - or maybe not. A difficult one for umpire Robinson, but that's the beauty of the system. Stokes' prospects of appearing in pantomime, though, have diminished - he was all serenity.

    Samuels c Buttler b Stokes 17 (WI 107-4)

Ben Stokes has Marlon Samuels! No salutes, just a pretty horrific way for a batsman to go. It's a nothing delivery, hip-high down the leg side, but Samuels has got the face of the bat on it. The umpire thought there was no contact, so signalled wide, but the review confirmed what England knew. The home side are rolling here.

England are certain here - and it's Ben Stokes on Marlon Samuels. Caught down the leg side? The umpire has signalled wide...

Liam Plunkett is slamming the ball into the surface. Straight run-up, stubble, high action, white leather into a concrete-coloured pitch. He even bowls himself off his feet. On the boundary, Jonny Bairstow has a chew on a banana and shares a joke with two beered-up fans. England are keeping a lid on things after the wicket of Shai Hope.

Ben Stokes is doing a grand job. It's great from an England perspective that you have Root, Test captain, Stokes, the Test vice-captain, and you'd think they'd want to be rested but here they are enjoying themselves.

  16. WI 104-3published at 24 overs

    Stokes 3-0-6-1

Looking again, I haven't done that catch nearly enough credit. Bairstow actually took it one-handed and at full stretch. One of the best boundary grabs you will see. It wasn't that bad a delivery from Stokes, either. He's going at two runs an over. Jason Mohammed is the new batsman.

That's a fantastic catch. Hope absolutely nailed it. You thought it would clear Bairstow, but he timed his jump perfectly. A big wicket but what a brilliant catch. He judged it so well, he could have easily rushed it. It stuck in there almost like he was wearing gloves.

    S Hope c Bairstow b Stokes 35 (WI 103-3)

Pick that out! Jonny Bairstow hasn't got the gloves today but he has still bagged a screamer on the deep square leg fence. Shai Hope is the man to go, somehow picking out Bairstow from a pretty rank Ben Stokes short ball. Bairstow makes ground to his right, leaps and clings on. That was travelling. Timely wicket for England.

  19. WI 103-2published at 23 overs

This is excellent from the pacy Plunkett, mixing his length as Samuels tries to clear the front leg. Only a single to Shai Hope from the over. I think that's six dots in succession that Samuels has faced. He's looking agitated.
