Liam Plunkett is bowling some nice change-ups - that's what I like about him.

  2. Ban 243-2 (Tamim 123, Mushfiqur 66)published at 42.3 overs

Liam Plunkett steams in, Tamim is taking on all comers now though. He leaves the technique textbook at home, down the track and squeezing a huge edge over the head of the man close in and away for runs.

Excellent yorker from Plunks next up.

Already people moaning before the 50 overs are even bowled! We will chase any score. Just ashamed we dropped Rashid.

  4. Ban 241-2 (Tamim 121, Mushfiqur 66)published at 42 overs

Tamim showing some intent, but is limited to three more singles.

A diving Jason Roy at point with a good stop may have prevented a boundary.

  6. Watch out!published at 13:24 British Summer Time 1 June 2017

    Stephan Shemilt
    BBC Sport at The Oval

I was just climbing the stairs in the press box, with former England batsman Rob Key coming down in the opposite direction. "Watch out," said a steward. "There's a big vehicle coming." I don't know who he was referring to...

    Ban 238-2 (Tamim 119, Mushfiqur 65)published at 41.3 overs

What are we saying for a Bangladesh total then? 330? 340? More?

They are on to set England a mighty chase. Could be a very exciting afternoon.

Mark Wood is into the attack for his eighth over. SIX! Tamim is seeing it like a beachball, picks it off his pads and flicks it miles back for six more.

  9. Ban 231-2 (Tamim 113, Mushfiqur 64)published at 41 overs

Better from Moeen. Mushfiqur crouches down and cuts one which is picked up by backward point. Following that, there's a failed attempt at a reverse-sweep and then a single to end the over.

England will have a chase on their hands. Will we see the injured Woakes bat? If not, how much of a miss will he be?

  10. 6 runs

    Ban 230-2 (Tamim 113, Mushfiqur 63)published at 40.3 overs

Into the last 10 overs then - it's been more than 20 overs since England took a wicket and they need one soon if they are to stop the rot.

That's six though! Tamim has absolutely nailed Moeen into the stands! What a hit, and a super catch in the stands too.

  13. Ban 223-2 (Tamim 106, Mushfiqur 63)published at 40 overs

If you're listening to TMS, they're talking about toll roads.

This match is taking its toll on England (see what I did there?)

Plunkett with a economical start to the over, just two singles from the first four balls.

But then the centurion shimmies to his right, the bowler follows him but Tamim still slaps it through to the boundary for four. Well readjusted.

The England management have to take full blame if we concede to this much improved Bangladesh team , dropping Rashid is a joke it sends a bad message to every aspiring spinner in the country , focus on your batting lads England only want part timers.

    Ash Gosport

This performance from Bangladesh makes you realise how good a batsman Tamim Iqbal is. The performance from Jake Ball makes you realise how poor he is. Concedes so many boundaries.

Tamim may just have got himself a century, but not long before Mushfiqur brought up his 50 with a boundary off Root.

  18. 'Tamim could cut loose'published at 13:13 British Summer Time 1 June 2017

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Test Match Special

What I've liked most is the maturity with which he approached the innings.

He paced his innings, took his time at the start, started slowly but he has capitalised. He could really cut loose now.

He's done it. He works it through to the leg side for an easy single.

An excellent innings, could be a match-winner. Well batted, sir.
