Umesh is a strong man who gets good pace. You have to be a good pace bowler to get anything in India, because the pitches give you nothing.

  2. Pak 10-0published at 2 overs

    Azhar 3, Shehzad 5

Umesh Yadav at the other end.

Four. Wide, on the up and dealt with by Shehzad who sends it crashing to the boundary.

    Six from the over.

Remember, India started off slowly in their first few overs. How will Pakistan take to this? It's a different story when you have scoreboard pressure to handle.

Pakistan have to pull themselves together again because they lost it in the field with dropped catches and injuries. It all got a bit nasty at the end.

  4. Pak 4-0published at 1 over

Pakistan need 324 to win off 48 overs

Dark clouds in the not so far distance, floodlights on. Hmmm.

Azhar Ali and Ahmed Shehzad opening for Pakistan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar with the ball for India.

A bit of swing for Bhuvneshwar, a bit too much swing in fact as he struggles to get his line spot on and concedes a couple of wides.

First runs off the bat as Azhar plays it off his legs for two more.

Right, so the players are heading out.

Pakistan have been revised target of 324 from their 48 overs after that rain delay earlier.

  6. India smash it at the endpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

Yuvraj was out lbw but that just set up Hardik Pandya to seal off the innings with some fireworks!

  7. Nightmare for Wahab Riazpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

I told you, didn't I? Wahab Riaz's day went from bad to worse. He went for 87 runs from his 8.4 overs before leaving the field injured.

  8. Yuvraj and Kohli get going ...published at 15:57 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

Of course he did. Big hitting from both Yuvraj and Kohli and more woeful fielding from Pakistan.

  9. Rohit gone, Yuvraj in ...published at 15:55 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

Rohit deserved triple figures but was run-out on 91, being replaced by Yuvraj Singh.

A lifeline for Yuvraj as Hasan dropped an easy one. Would he make Pakistan pay for that?

  10. In comes Kohli ...published at 15:52 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

Dhawan soon departed, gifting Pakistan a dolly at deep-midwicket as they finally got their breakthrough.

But all that meant for India was that captain Virat Kholi could come join in on the fun.

Meanwhile, Wahab Riaz's wayward bowling wasn't going too well with the Pakistan fans. (Spoiler alert: his bowling didn't get any better, more to follow)

  11. Dhawan joins the party ...published at 15:48 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

It wasn't just Rohit doing the damage as Shikhar Dhawan soon got into the act, not letting a short rain delay get in their way.

Both openers played their way to their 50's as India firmly took control.

  12. Rohit gets his eye in ...published at 15:44 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

As the first half a dozen or so overs passed, Rohit Sharma started playing some shots. Some very nice looking shots.

  13. Amir fired up ...published at 15:42 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

It wasn't a bad start for Pakistan, conceding just 15 runs in the first 5 overs with Mohammad Amir bowling superbly first up.

Thanks Steph, don't blame you for needing a breather. What an end to the innings.

Anyone fancy some highlights? Well even if you're don't, you're getting some ...

  15. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

Right, I need a breather after that. Here's Kal Sajad...

  16. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

For now is right. India will think that all of the late-innings brilliance was wasted if they can't get out there to defend that total.

And that is how to finish an innings. 72 runs off the last four overs, a partnership of 34 off 10 balls between Kohli and Pandya. Sweet timing from the rain too - with half an hour before the Pakistan reply is due to start, no-one minds the covers being on. For now.

  18. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 4 June 2017

India batsman Yuvraj Singh: "I was lucky to get dropped but capitalised in the end. I thought the ball was reversing a bit so stood outside off stump. It went well today, but some days it won't.

"I think it's a very good batting wicket. Hopefully, when we bowl, we get early wickets and put some pressure on them."

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

That's as good as hitting as you'll see at a back-end of an international innings. Remarkable ball striking.

Phenomenal throughout those last 10 overs. India set the platform then launched towards the end. Outstanding hitting.

  20. Ind 319-3published at 48 overs

Kohli finishes with four to long-off. 23 off the final over! India finish on 319-3, taking 89 off the final 36 balls. That total will be boosted too. Pakistan have been hammered.
