Everything must go!
Ind 284-2
A 29-ball 50 for Yuvraj Singh. A top edge for four takes him there. How costly does that drop look now? Pakistan are all over the shop.

This is ball striking at its best. Exceptional.
Six over long-on! Edgbaston not big enough for Virat Kohli! It's brilliant stuff. Kohli, the king, has awoken. Beware in the crowd.

This is thrilling batting.
Free-hit biffed for four! 26 runs in eight balls!
Wheels are coming off here. Wahab no-ball. Stabbed for four by Kohli. Free-hit coming up...

Yuvraj is having a blinder. He's doing what he does best - timing the ball to perfection and finding the boundary at will.
Huge over. 17 from it. Hasan Ali pumped all around Edgbaston, Yuvraj in on the act with a pull for four. Noise levels deafening.

That's a remarkable shot - to have the power and timing to muscle it over long-on. It's like a back foot punch/pull.
Ind 259-2
50 for the reprieved Kohli, brought up with a walloping maximum over long-on. Look at the celebrations too. Fist pumping and roaring. He's ticking.
Looking again, mid-wicket could have taken it. Ashraf may well have had it too - the catch wouldn't have been quite as brilliant as I thought. Probably should have been taken.

I'm wondering if it was miscommunication between two fielders. It looks like the sub fielder - that's not what you need. You're not expecting to go on, it's cold and Virat Kohli offers you a difficult catch.
Ind 247-2
Dropped! It would have been brilliant, but you think that every one should be taken. This time it's Virat Kohli top-edging a pull, with the sub fielder Faheem Ashraf coming in from the leg-side fence. A dive, but not enough.

These next few overs are the business overs of the game. Losing your main strike bowler at this point could be bad news for Pakistan.
Amir is going off here. Perhaps it's more than cramp. That's a blow of for Pakistan, he's been their most economical bowler. Wahab Riaz called upon...
While Amir lies on the floor, take a look at the run out of Rohit Sharma. Fair enough, or a rough decision?
Hello, what's happened here? Mohammad Amir has gone down like a sack of spuds. Cramp? He's only bowled eight overs...

That was one of those moments where you are detached and can clearly see from afar that the bowler was going to be hit for six with the ball he delivered and the field which was set.
50 partnership from 38 balls
There's rain in Nottingham and Shrewsbury - we're surrounded, but the sky is blue with white clouds. A bit like the opening credits of the Simpsons. In the crowd, one India fan decides that his blue wig is too silly to keep wearing. On the pitch, Yuvraj Singh nails Hasan Ali straight back down the ground for four. Oh no! What an awful long-hop. Swiped over square leg for a maximum. Remember when you dropped that catch, Hasan?
