Pakistan captain Safraz Ahmed: "We are not up to the mark in the fielding, it was in control in 40 overs but lost the plot in the last eight overs.

"No regrets (in choosing to field after winning to the toss), I think we will sit together and talk about how to control our bowling rate and also our batting as well."

India captain Virat Kholi: "With bat and ball we were nine out of ten, in the field we were six today. If we tune that up to eight or nine we will be a strong side, it was a very complete game for us.

"Skill-wise we were clinical, in the field is something we can improve on.

"We are delighted with all of our batsman scoring runs. Rohit needed runs under his belt, he's not played us for a while.

"The middle order was outstanding and Yuvi was outstanding. I felt like a club batter next to him. He's a game changer with the bat."

Man of the match Yuvraj Singh: "We started well with the bat and the bowlers came and stuck to the plan and took wickets at regular intervals.

"We had a lot of wickets in the end and I thought if I feel good I can score. I got lucky and got dropped and I capitalised.

"Our openers gave us a good start.

"India-Pakistan is very special, the Indian fans make it special for us"

Yuvraj Singh is man of the match. Is that because Virat Kohli has so many of them they like to spread it around? What might have happened if Hasan Ali did not have butter on his fingers?

Did that live up to the hype? I'm not sure. It was ruined by the rain and by Pakistan rolling over.

Pakistan set the tone with Amir in that first over making it difficult for India but after that India always had an answer. Pakistan were unsure of their plans.

They will be hurt by this loss because it was comprehensive.

From India's point of view, a brilliant start.

We've seen all eight teams and I reckon India have been by far the most impressive. Having said that, Pakistan were absolutely woeful.

Handshakes all round. Riaz is unable to bat. A comfortable victory for India. It's a bit of a hiding, frankly.

It's difficult to assess when games are changed around with rain breaks but that's a thumping win.

    Hasan c Dhawan b Yadav 0 (Pak 164)

All over! Hasan Ali chips Umesh Yadav to mid-wicket. He's only the ninth wicket to fall but, after a period of confusion, it becomes apparent that Wahab Riaz will not bat. India have thumped Pakistan out of sight.

Amir's gone down fighting to be fair to him but it was a real dolly there. It was a straightforward one.

    Amir c Jadhav b Yadav 9 (Pak 164-8)

For some reason, Kedar Jadhav looks solid when the ball is drilled at him. After dropping a skier, he clings on when Mohammad Amir belts a drive. If Wahab Riaz doesn't bat, India might only be one wicket away...

Alas, not. It looked like a dawdling Shadab Khan might have been by a direct hit from the deep, but he had enough about him to get the bat down. It was the least he could do...

He never got set. The only thing is the light blue sky and white ball and that's the only excuse I'm giving him.

The key is to get your eyes level and feet set and he was always on the move.

    Pak 159-7

Good lord, this is bad. India have fielded like ferrets today, but this is awful from Kedar Jadhav. Straight up from Shadab Khan, all the time in the world for Jadhav to take it at cover. Somehow he lets it slip through the fingers, much to the anger of those who want this one wrapped up.
