That looked pretty straight from here, sweeping in front of his stumps. It's going to have to do an awful lot for that not to be out.
NZ 194-5
I mean, Neil Broom has to review this, but he's out. Sweeping Adil Rashid, looks plumb in front.
Jeremy Coney
Ex-New Zealand captain on Test Match Special
Because of the slower nature of the delivery, he has pulled it later and brought Alex Hales into play on the deep mid-wicket boundary.
Neesham c Hales b Plunkett 18 (NZ191-5)
They keep falling and England keep edging closer to victory. With the requitred rate pushing 10, New Zealand need something special, but Jimmy Neesham falls trying. After plonking Liam Plunkett for six he tries a repeat, but only finds Alex Hales on the leg-side fence.

There is still the threat of Corey Anderson to come for New Zealand. Six or seven overs of him can change a game fairly rapidly.
Need 130 from 84 balls
If England wanted to burgle an over from Rashid whilst these two batsmen are newish, then mission accomplished. Only three from it. Broom might soon have to give it the long handle. He he he...

They know the rules, don't they? It pitched outside leg!

Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
I can see why they reviewed it. It would have hammered into the stumps.
NZ 180-4
You know that review you had? You might as well have sold it on eBay.

It's going to pitch outside leg. That's a bad review.
NZ 180-4
Adil Rashid back on. Jimmy Neesham reverse-sweeping. Surely it's pitched outside leg? Eoin Morgan would like another opinion...

Today at the Swalec in a nutshell: bright sunshine, black clouds, waving trees.
Target 311
England's big, beasty pacers are on the prowl. If they keep going like this it might not need some overs from the spinners later on. Liam Plunkett, tall, upright action, bangs the ball down from the height of a semi-detached house. Hello, have a bit of that. Neesham goes downtown for a one-bounce four to long-on.

It was difficult to see Taylor winning the game - he wasn't going fast enough - but Williamson was cruising along by contrast, without taking any obvious risks. You take nothing for granted.
Ball 8-2-30-2
England haven't just put the brakes on, they have caught New Zealand in a lasso and are pulling them in. Replays of the Taylor wicket don't make the shot look any better. It was a bit of a slog. Jimmy Neesham, the man who sounds like he should be hosting late night telly, is the new man.
Ed Smith
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special
That really is the game, I think. Both men who had the potential and pedigree to win this game, Taylor and Williamson, are out. I think England can sniff qualification here.

It's great pressure from England since getting that wicket. It's one thing to make the breakthrough of Williamson but it's another to have the maturity to really squeeze and concentrate after. They've done it brilliantly.
Taylor c Root b Ball 39 (NZ 168-4)
Nothing wrong with the pitch here! This a wicket borne out of good, old-fashioned pressure. Ross Taylor can't take it any more and plays a horrid swipe at Jake Ball. Step across the stumps, try to hit through the leg side, straight to Joe Root at mid-wicket. England right on top now.
