    Sabbir c Ronchi b Southee 8 (Ban 10-2)

Brilliant bowling. Absolutely brilliant. Southee finds that corridor of uncertainty again, just short of a length, and requires just a little wobble of movement to catch a thin outside edge from Sabbir and gift Ronchi the catch.

Delight for New Zealand. That Bangladesh dressing room will have tumbleweed bouncing through it right now.

That is a magnificent stop from Broom. It's exactly the sort of fielding New Zealand need.

It's not a big total from where New Zealand were at one stage. They imploded once again. But they will be very keen. I can expect some decent fielding - as long as they don't get too hyped.

  4. Ban 9-1published at 2 overs

Oh, Trent Boult picks up from where Southee left off with a ball that nips away and fizzes past Soumya Sarkar's outside edge and just past off stick. That is a belter of a delivery.

He follows it up with a consistent nagging line in the corridor and then a bit of hostility, courtesy of a short ball that digs into the batsman's stomach.

Broom then pulls out a superb stop at point to deny Bangladesh four with one hand and keep the pressure on the chasing side.

Amazing what a wicket can do for a side's body language.

It's not moving a lot, but it's moving enough.

  6. Ban 8-1published at 1 over

Hello Sabbir Rahman. The number three strides out, takes a look at Southee and promptly dispatches him for two successive fours. Eventful start to the reply!

Both Southee and Boult are different propositions when the ball is swinging. They move from a fairly ordinary, along the wicket attack, to giving themselves the chance to take wickets. It's going to be interesting to see how Bangladesh, after the early loss of the nucleus of their batting, how they will handle that.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 0.2 overs

Tamim lbw Southee 0 (Ban 0-1)

It is a huge moment. What a wicket for New Zealand to get so early. Tamim had scored 128 and 95 coming into this game, but his contribution to this game is over. It was a swinging ball from Southee that straightened at the death and is shown to carrying on to the stumps. The Kiwis are understandably bouncing around like Tigger after 15 packets of popping candy.

Tamim is such an important man. He's reviewed it straight away, which is sometimes a clue. I think it's a wee bit of swing, and it's straightened.

Instantly, he's reviewed that. If he's got an inside edge, he's out caught. If it's lbw, it might have pitched outside leg. It looked a good shout to me.

  11. Umpire reviewpublished at 0.2 overs

Potentially massive moment in this match. Southee traps Tamim in front, prompting a big call, a raised finger from the umpire and an instant review from the batsman.

Bat batting? Good bowling? Difficult pitch? Or a combination of all three?
