I'll be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Comfortably the funniest thing I've seen since England knocked Australia out.
India secure semi-final spot
South Africa knocked out
India win with 12 overs to spare
Dhawan 78 (83), Kohli 76* (101)
SA slump from 116-1 to 191 all out
De Kock 53, three run-outs
Kal Sajad, Stephan Shemilt and Justin Goulding
I'll be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Comfortably the funniest thing I've seen since England knocked Australia out.

Jason Cole: To paraphrase Blackadder, the South African innings started badly, tailed off mid innings and ended absolutely dismally.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a great performance against South Africa, who can cash in on your bad deliveries but also score on your good ones.
"There was no swing so we were trying to bowl cross-seam to get something out of the wicket.
"It's a good total for us to chase."

It's not a challenging total but nor is it a challenging pitch. South Africa will have to bowl out of their skins if they're going to cause any problems for India.
There was a misfield that made Tahir think he could perhaps get back for a second. He and Duminy then met in the middle, with JP explaining why it wasn't on. By the time Tahir was convinced, he was run out.

It got so bad that everyone in the commentary box had their hands on their heads and were looking in disbelief. It was like they were having a conversation in the middle for five minutes before Tahir ran back.
Tahir run out 1 (SA 191)
It just had to end with a run-out, didn't it? More calamity for South Africa, both batsmen ending in the middle of the pitch before Imran Tahir tries to get back to the striker's end. Not a chance. They are 191 all out. It's been the cricketing equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot, hand and belly button.

Mark Hefter: As impressive as England were yesterday, India have been equally impressive so far today.
South Africa should have sent Tahir in earlier. Solid as a rock, even when Bumrah goes through his array of slower balls. Slight ideas above his station when he tries to pinch the strike for the next over but, after seeing what the rest have done, Duminy should probably have more faith.

Purchased seven tickets for myself and friends to see Somerset v Surrey T20 two years ago, hoping to see a six-fest with likes of Gayle and KP in the line-ups. When we met at the pre-train pub I realised there were eight of us and the game was sold out. One person stayed home. The rest of us travelled 70 miles to see no cricket due to monsoon-like conditions in Taunton.

Two wickets and five runs from the Bhuvneshwar over. Worryingly for South Africa, Tahir will be on strike for the next one...

What is going on out there? A complete demolition job by India but South Africa have made it easy for them.
SA 185-9
Tahir's having none of it. The hat-trick ball is slashed to third man for a single. Could have gone anywhere, to be honest.
Morkel c Kohli b Bhuvneshwar 0 (SA 184-9)
First ball! Morne Morkel's edge is pouched by Virat Kohli at slip. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is on a hat-trick. With Imran Tahir striding out, he might never get a better chance...
Graeme Smith
Ex-South Africa captain on BBC Test Match Special
Duminy has to take the game on now. He's been hanging around and hoping someone would stay with him. He is South Africa's last hope, he has to attack the game and try and get to 200.
Rabada c Dhoni b Bhuvneshwar 5 (SA 184-8)
And the next one please. Bhuvneshwar Kumar produces a lovely delivery that arcs across Kagiso Rabada, taking the edge on the way through to a tumbling MS Dhoni. The way South Africa have rolled over has been absolutely feeble.

Does Faf du Plessis have a family wedding or stag do that he needs to get home for next weekend?
Simon in Manchester
The collapse, by the way, is five wickets for 38 runs. Duminy prods forward to Ashwin and is hit on the pad. An appeal, but umpire Aleem Dar turns it down. Dar's pencil beard is so well trimmed it looks fake, as if he's glued it on as a disguise.

Mo: The "how great" AB de Villiers talk is old. He's been on the decline since the 2015 World Cup. His poor performances are no surprise.
Kagiso Rabada can give the ball a clonk. He'll have to do that and then bowl out of his skin to dig South Africa out of this hole. He's started well - a Brian Lara one-legged pull for four gets him off the mark.
