The full delivery, he played around himself and beaten for pace. That run-out of AB de Villiers has just sparked panic in the batting line-up.

Phelukwayo lbw Bumrah 4 (SA 178-7)

Andile Phelukwayo's middle name is Lucky. Not today. He's missed a full toss from Jasprit Bumrah and the review says it would have uprooted middle stump. South Africa's slide down the helter-skelter continues.

I reckon he's in danger here, it can't have pitched outside leg as it's not pitched at all.

I'm not sure about this. Andile Phelukwayo struck by Jasprit Bumrah, but looks leggy. Having said that, it hit him on the full...

At the moment the team of the tournament has been England. The bowling was the debate but Wood and Rashid have been excellent. The captaincy of Eoin Morgan has been outstanding.

  6. SA 178-6published at 40 overs

India keep coming, this time in the shape of Bhuvneshwar Kumar's skiddy swingers. Tight inner ring, angled across this pair of left-handers, ball unlikely to be hurt. Only three singles from it. Can South Africa even make it to 240?

The running between the wickets - you have to laugh, otherwise you're going to cry. This performance doesn't bode well for South Africa's tour of England after this tournament.

  8. SA 179-6published at 39 overs

Bad running is like a disease that tears through a dressing room. One run-out and every player is scared to leave his crease for fear of not making it back. Treks across the Arctic are not this dangerous. Duminy is sent back by Andile Phelukwayo. Meanwhile, we have a boundary!

I can't believe how bad the running is. It's like they've never batted together before, like they've never heard the sound of a crowd.

  10. SA 169-6published at 38 overs

The safest place to be standing at the moment is on the boundary. The sweepers either side have pulled out deck chairs and are reading the Sundays. Only singles on show. It's like a Friday night in the Dog & Duck. Even then, every adventure between the wickets is fraught with danger, not knowing if you will reach the new world of the other end.

There's been no wow factor with South Africa in this tournament. There's a lot of good in the team but it's been flat and it's been difficult to watch.

  12. SA 167-6published at 37 overs

Four wickets have gone down for 27 runs. I say South Africa will be on the plane, but most of them will have to stick around for the T20s against England. Send them to Coventry for a week.

It's hard to know what to say - a terrible 45 minutes for South Africa. De Villiers and Du Plessis looked to be building some momentum. But then bad decision making, bad communication in the middle and two crucial run-outs. It has been downhill since then.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36.4 overs

    Morris c Bhuvneshwar b Bumrah 4 (SA 167-6)

It's an absolute procession. A straggly, sloppy, chaotic procession that ends with everyone falling in a heap. Chris Morris is the latest, attempting a pull off Jasprit Bumrah that only results in a top edge pouched at mid-wicket. At this rate, South Africa will be on the plane before dinner.

It's the 19th time AB de Villiers has been run out in 174 dismissals, which is 11% over the span of his career.

Quinton de Kock has got his arm around David Miller, either consoling or whispering sweet nothings. "Don't worry, Dave. We'll get rid of Faf, then he'll never run you out again." In the middle, India continue to squeeze. There hasn't been a boundary for 10 overs. Here's how Pandya removed Du Plessis.

Victory has almost been handed to India. South Africa have again not been up to the task in a big match.

One run-out bid survived, but one very definitely not. Have another look at the end of David Miller. Comedy hasn't been this bad good since they stopped making Only Fools & Horses.

It was excellent from bowler Ravi Jadeja, who fielded then flicked the ball behind him to hit the stumps. Chris Morris was back, though.

There's not much interest from India's fielders here. They are ready to get on with the game.
