Target 237
Two men, two wildly different approaches to the run-chase in front of them. Fakhar is going to try and smear an 80-ball century. Azhar will happily take 120 balls if it sees his team over the line. Pradeep, who has enjoyed a decent competition, is brought on to bowl and he cuts Azhar in half with a lovely, seaming delivery.

All the people complaining about England T20 squad are out of order. The games are just a week after a major ICC tournament & many sides have a completely different T20 squad these days due to time playing the game for clubs. You pay to see England and should support them accordingly, you never know these guys might surprise you despite not having heard of them!

Target 237
Azhar Ali - a man not known for his frivolous approach to run-making - decides to take on Suranga Lakmal with a big hoick across the line. Four runs, through mid-wicket.
Target 237
How costly could this drop prove? Fakhar and Azhar trade a single apiece in the fifth over.
Fakhar 17 off 9 balls
Fakhar is Pakistan's pinch-hitter in this tournament. Just like he did against South Africa, the 27-year-old tears into the opening bowlers. Another boundary is notched up with a fine pull down to fine leg.

You feel that Malinga is happier bowling to the right-hander, over the wicket.
Target 237
'Fakhar is the future', proclaims a hand-made sign in the crowd. It's hard to disagree with that sentiment as left-handed Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman creams three fours in an over through the off side. The bowler - Lasith Malinga - reponds with a lovely outswinger which is too good to take the edge.
Target 237
That dropped catch could prove costly. Pakistan were, largely, brilliant in the field - led by captain and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed, who took this splendid effort. The best I've seen in the tournament.
Suranga Lakmal takes the second of the new balls for Sri Lanka and it's two from the over.

It came at him at pace but it carried. I would say it was shin high but he should have caught it.
Pak 0-0
That would have been a dream start! Lasith Malinga is jumping for joy when Azhar Ali cuts the ball straight to backward point but those celebrating arms soon drop when Danushka Gunathilaka grasses a straightforward opportunity.

We've been schooled into believing 240 is 50 short but it can all change in what is essentially a knockout match and with the pressure that brings.
Thanks Kal. Pakistan are flying, aren't they?
There's a lot to love about their fast bowlers at the moment. The injury picked up by Wahab Riaz might prove to be a blessing in disguise.
As you listen in on the conclusion of that match, I will leave you in the hands of Marc Higginson.
There's some tense stuff going on in the County Championship - Somerset trail Yorkshire by 11 runs with 1 wicket remaining. You can listen to the end of that match here.
Dickwella will be disappointed in the shot selection for his dismissal and not going on to help his team post a big total.
But let's just take a moment to appreciate a brilliant catch by the Pakistan skipper behind the stumps.
Captain Angelo Mathews contributed a solid 39 runs, Mendis and Gunaratne reached late twenties but only Niroshan Dickwella could press on with a big score.
The opener was the rock for Sri Lanka as others came and go.
Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir: "I think we bowled well as a unit. Early on it was a little bit slower but we stuck with our line and length.
"The opening partnership is crucial. If they can put on 50 or 60 then we have a very good chance.
"I always believe that if you bowl to the situation you can be successful. Hasan Ali is bowling very well."
So Pakistan need 237 runs to book their place in the semi-finals. Barring a miracle run chase inside three overs, they will face England at Cardiff on Wednesday.
But let's not get ahead of us, they still have a job to do.
If they do make it through to the semis, this is the reason why ...

It would be a preposterous mathematical freak for Pakistan to win the group, they would have to get the runs in about three overs.
