Both these batsmen have got a red ink in mind. Nothing is troubling them. If they get out now, they'll kick themselves later.

  2. Ind 229-1published at 36 overs

    Rohit 110, Kohli 73

Shakib is a wily operator and keeps things tight but this pair are in no danger, ticking off five singles from the over.

I wonder how many India could have chased on this pitch. You wonder if they would have been challenged by a score of 330.

  4. Ind 224-1published at 35 overs

    Need 41 runs to win

Taskin in, Rohit watches the first two but then pushes a full ball down the ground for four.

A couple of singles follow. Could India do this with 10 overs to spare?

A Kohli century from here would be some ask but certainly fitting for his exploits so far. India have already had one hundred today of course and Rohit Sharma brought it up with a six...

Eddy: This is the day the debate of who is better (Virat Kohli, Joe Root and Steve Smith) was laid to rest for good.

What, no Kane Williamson? Just kidding, Kohli's ODI record is just ridiculous. Is this debate still open in Tests though?

  8. Ind 218-1published at 34 overs

    Target 265

Kohli smashes Shakib away through the covers for another boundary. The fielders didn't shown even a modicum of interest in chasing that or trying to prevent it reaching the fence.

None of the rest of the team blaming them though, this has been a deflating experience.

The Bangladeshi huddle looks deflated to say the least. A lot of folded arms, the heads are down. I'm sure they want to just get off the field now.

Bit of a pause here with India needing just 53 runs to win. Bangladesh look utterly bereft of ideas. What's easier than a coast to victory? Whatever it is, India are doing it right now.

So Rohit has just brought up his century with a boundary and Kohli recently did the same, reaching his fifty with yet another four...

This is Rohit Sharma's 11th century in ODI cricket and his second against Bangladesh.

100 FOR ROHITpublished at 33 overs

    Ind 212-1

That'll do. Just. Rohit Sharma does wait for the short ball and hooks Mustafizur away - for a while it looks like he's picked out deep square leg but it evades the despairing drive and clunks into the boundary marker for a six.

A belting way to bring up a superb century. A very pleasant innings to watch.

  14. Ind 206-1published at 32.5 overs

Virat Kohli stands tall and punches the returning Mustafizur down the ground for his eighth four of his innings.

A single puts Rohit back on strike on 96 - ooh, lovely, quick bouncer from the Fizz almost has the India opener in trouble but he gets out of the way.

Three straight dot balls...is Rohit waiting for the right ball?

Got to say this tournament hasn't been a good advertisement for the 50 over format overall. In an era when T20 is fast emerging as the dominant force in cricket, are we witnessing the end of ODI cricket?

  16. Ind 201-1published at 32 overs

Shakib returns with a tight, accurate over that India can take only three runs off. But no danger for either of these India batsman as Rohit moves to 96 and his side go past 200.

Rakesh S: King Kohli showing why he is the no one batsmen in the world, absolute masterclass.

  18. Ind 198-1published at 31 overs

Mahmudullah enters the attack and sends down some pretty ropey off-spin that Rohit tucks into with a pull to the square leg boundary for four.

A single brings Kohli on strike and he unfurls yet another flashing drive through extra cover for a boundary.

Mahmudullah bowled that over like he's in a hurry to be done with this game.

Was this Bangladesh's last chance to make any further inroads into India's order? Rohit's only false shot of a superb innings lands safe...

  20. Ind 188-1published at 30 overs

India's serene chase continues untroubled, just three off the over. Rohit moves into the nineties.
