Kohli is timing these pings to the boundary with absolute perfection. He's all angles and poise, driving Mustafizur beautifully for back-to-back boundaries. The second of those brings up the 50 partnership, which seems to have arrived in no time at all.

I have paid £1090 for two tickets for Sunday's final. praying it will be India v Pakistan... come on India! Sorry, I can't give my name or my wife will kill me.

What's even better about the below Gubby Allen story is that he turned up for late for that match after working his morning shift at a department store. Here's Rubel with that slingy action and Kohli is up on tippy-toes to shovel the ball off his hips and into the field for one.

Ooft. That is glorious from Kohli, making an on-drive look like the simplest shot in the world as he just gently pushes his hands forward and picks up a boundary. That's the sort of shot that oozes class. Kohli then briefly considers pulling the final ball of the over, which Mustafizur bangs in, but instead he just sways under it, yanking his head to one side.

Bangladesh have got some match winners in this side. They've got experienced players but younger guys too like Mustafizur Rahman who have a bit of X factor. They need that if they want to regularly win games.
Rohit 64, Kohli 8
That's a nice little flick back on the boundary to stop Kohli picking up his first boundary, but that's emphatic from Rohit. Rubel sends down some ordinary line and length stuff and Rohit frees his arms once again, swinging the ball between two fielders in the deep and into the rope. And another, streakier but there's no slip to snaffle it up, and the ball races away down the pitch.
Charles Dagnall and Graeme Swann are currently taking your questions outside Edgbaston, and they've both donned a pair of superb sunglasses. Show-offs...
Here is the only wicket to fall so far, this 'orrible looking shot from Shikhar Dhawan...
Before Rohit Sharma cruised his way to his 32nd one-day half-century.
Target 265
Mustafizur is back - I think he's better suited to this middle overs role rather than opening - and he's got Virat Kohli in his sights. The India captain tonks a single and then just about digs out a very good yorker to end the over. He then waves towards the dressing room - that might have done his bat a little bit of damage.

Rubel Hossain has improved dramatically in international cricket. He always had that raw pace but he's developed his skills a lot now.
Rohit 52, Kohli 4
Mashrafe Mortaza is giving himself a well-earned rest, instead bringing Rubel Hossain back. Virat Kohli works a leisurely single to bring up India's 100 as Rubel hustles in and slings the ball down. Kohli and Rubel have a little chat, big grins in place as the India captain leans on his bat at the non-strikers' end.

Beautiful hands from Rohit once again, his wrists generating power in his shots. He's such a fluid, elegant batsman to watch.
Ind 96-1
Shakib serves up some width and Rohit Sharma flings his hands at it, past Mashrafe Mortaza at point and through for four. And again! Shakib's tossing it up and Rohit is more than happy to oblige, another lovely twirl of the wrists for four. A simple single brings up his half-century from 57 deliveries and he's treated to a standing ovation from the Indian contingent in the stands.

Dhawan has had nine innings in the Champions Trophy and 46 is his second-lowest score. His average has plummeted down to 85 in the Champions Trophy.
Target 265
Doesn't matter how many times you see a replay of that shot, it's still a daft bit of cricket. Anyway, the world number one ODI batsman has arrived at the crease to an absolute cacophony of noise from the crowd. He gets behind his first two deliveries from Mashrafe Mortaza to see out the over.

That's a strange bit of cricket and that's given Bangladesh a bit of a opening. Rohit Sharma put his hands on his head like he couldn't believe what his partner had done.
Dhawan c Mosaddek b Mashrafe 46 (Ind 87-1)
What a horrible way to get out! Ooh, that was ugly from Shikhar Dhawan. He'd just crunched another non-threatening short ball to the boundary then he came down the pitch and tried to smash Mashrafe over mid-off. Instead he just sent the ball flying straight to Mosaddek at backward point. Dearie me, that was an ugly looking thing.

Dhawan is just one of those players who really gets up for tournaments. His record in the Champions Trophy is fantastic.
