A word for Hasan Ali, who ends the tournament as the leading wicket taker with 13 scalps.

The closest player to him was Australia's Josh Hazlewood, who took 9 - and 6 of those came in his side's opening game against New Zealand.

  8. 'We kept believing'published at 17:08 British Summer Time 18 June 2017

Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur: "It's been an up and down ride for us but I'm so proud of the boys. The whole group kept believing, we knew we were better than what we showed in the first game against India. That was an aberration. We want to be more consistent as a team. We will work really hard to keep this momentum going."

This is an equally brilliant moment for Mickey Arthur. The last Champions Trophy cost him his job as Australia coach. Now, he's guided Pakistan to victory.

This is Pakistan's biggest ODI win over India in terms of runs. They came into this tournament as the lowest ranked team. They haven't played cricket at home for eight years. And here they are. Champions.

Pakistan batsman Mohammad Hafeez, who made 57 not out: "It's a great team effort. After losing the first game, we had no chance to lose again. We showed great character. I'm so happy for the nation of Pakistan who have been waiting for this for a long time."

Mohammad Amir, who took 3-16: "Rohit, Dhawan and Kohli have been in tremendous form so I was looking for early wickets - and I did it."

Here are the moments with the bat and ball that saw Pakistan seal this most unlikely of victories.

First Fakhar Zaman made the most of his extra life by flaying a century...

And then Mohammad Amir swung the ball with pinpoint accuracy to dismiss India's top order.

Virat Kohli leads his men out on the field and there's plenty of handshakes and hugs for the Pakistan men. They're running around like kids in a sweet shop, and the Pakistan fans in the crowd are jumping up and down like they're at a Guns 'n' Roses concert.

Two weeks ago, Pakistan lost by 124 runs to India. They looked lacklustre, sloppy in the field, lost with the bat. And the way they have fought back, the way they pulled together, recovered and then pulled off this remarkable victory, against their biggest rivals, is truly fantastic.

So close as Bhuvneshwar lobs the ball up into the air, three fielders come charging in - and the ball drops in the middle of all of them! That's a nice, tidy over from Junaid, while the party is well and truly kicking off in the stands.

Hasan Ali is wafting his hands to the crowd, asking them to keep on shouting. Just one more wicket for Pakistan to complete an amazing, entertaining, remarkable, unlikely victory. So many adjectives. Take your pick.
