AdrianMarsden: ‏Let's not get to far ahead of ourselves India are a very good team.

Rakesh S: ‏India still got the tournament's top scorer in the middle, with Dhoni, Jadav and Pandya to come in they probably shouldn't lose.

India are slowly ticking over now and, as long as they put the bad balls away, then they can start rebuilding.

  3. Ind 31-2published at 8 overs

    Yuvraj 5, Dhawan 20

Shikhar Dhawan throws the kitchen sink into a pull and the fielder at cover just watches the ball go skipping past him and into the rope. There was proper anger behind that shot. And again! Wide outside off stump from Junaid and Dhawan frees his arms with relish. He's made a half-century in all but one of this year's Champions Trophy matches.

Just like their neighbours in Lahore, these shopkeepers in Amritsar, India, are huddled around a television to watch the biggest game in their sport.

In the first innings, Pakistan fans didn't miss a chance for some flag-waving and horn-blowing. Not now. It's all about watching the cricket. It's as if they can't believe what they are seeing.

  6. Ind 22-2published at 7 overs

    Amir 4-1-14-2

This is Yuvraj's 301st ODI appearance. If ever you wanted the voice of experience at the crease... Amir continues. I suspect you'll have trouble getting the ball out of his hands. It's another good over, a leg side delivery the only real blip, and Pakistan's close fielding is so sharp. They cut off all of Yuvraj's decent looking shots to restrict India even further.

  8. Ind 21-2published at 6 overs

    Junaid 3-1-7-0

Yuvraj times the pants off a ping to mid-wicket, but he only succeeds in slashing the ball straight at the waiting fielder. He gets his first boundary with a horrible pull, the top edge flying over the keeper's head and away for four. The camera pans to Kohli, up in the dressing room. Face like thunder doesn't begin to cover it.

  9. Amazing cricket from Pakistanpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 18 June 2017

Just enjoy this bit of bowling from Mohammad Amir. Excellent stuff - the first two deliveries moving away from the batsman before the last one nipped back in to Rohit Sharma...

And then in the second over, he gets the prized scalp of the India captain.

  10. Ind 16-2published at 5 overs

Boundary! Short from Amir and Shikhar Dhawan pulls, hands high above his head, away to fine leg for four. Pakistan are up for this though, as Shoaib Malik pulls off a fine, one handed, tumbling dive to cut off a Dhawan straight drive that seemed set for the boundary. That'll be four, though: short and wide from Amir and the response is a beautiful cover drive from Dhawan that races through the gap at extra cover.

Naveed Afzal‏: No one does awful to sublime like Pakistan. Amir always had this talent. It's like watching Wasim Akram bowling.

  12. Pak 7-2published at 4 overs

India need to keep a calm head here, although they won't be helped by the crowd noise, which is going up and up and up. It's just the start Pakistan wanted. In fact, it's better than they could have hoped, getting Kohli early. A lovely over from Junaid Khan, right on the money, and Yuvraj checks himself to play out a maiden.

Goodness me what a turnaround from that first game! Pakistan are looking a million dollars now.

  14. Ind 7-2published at 3 overs

    Amir 2-0-5-2

Here's Yuvraj. Amir is steaming in, banging the ball down on that slightly awkward length, and Yuvraj just pats the ball away to safety. Amir glares and then wanders back into the field, his captain darting over to put an arm around his shoulder. Just brilliant.

    WICKETpublished at 2.4 overs

    Kohli c Shadab b Amir 5 (Ind 6-2)

AND now they've caught him! This is ridiculous! What. A. Start. It's just brilliant bowling from Amir, forcing Kohli to play across his body, and the leading edge went flying towards point, where Shadab grabbed the ball. Pakistan go wheeling off in celebration, and rightly so! I need an urgent lie down.

  18. dropped catch

Kohli dropped on 5published at 2.3 overs

    Ind 6-1

Azhar Ali! They've dropped Kohli! On 5! Oh that is a sitter! Amir got Kohli playing away from his body, edging to Azhar at first slip, and it was in and then out of the hands in no time at all.

  20. Ind 4-1published at 2 overs

There's such a buzz at The Oval, the constant crowd noise mingling in with the shouts from the Pakistan fielders. A tidy over from Junaid Khan, two slips poised for Virat Kohli as the ball slides across the batsman's body.
