  1. Tea at Hovepublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Sussex 291 v Kent 304 & 0-0

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex at Hove

A remarkable afternoon session with Ben Brown 90 and Jofra Archer 60 not out adding 99 runs for the last wicket for Sussex.

Kent will be frustrated having at one stage reduced the hosts to 58-5, but generally bowled well with Mitch Claydon claiming 4-67.

    A fascinating evening session awaits.

That looks very tasty....what was left of it mind once the rest of Adrian's colleagues had got hold of it!

  2. wicket

    WICKET J Overton (c Wheater b Wagner) 2published at 16:53 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Somerset 209 & 124-9 v Essex 129

Neil Wagner has his first five-wicket haul for Essex and you could argue that the Somerset batsmen having been rather willing scalps.

It's Jamie Overton this time who sees his attempted pull nestle into the safe hands of wicketkeeper Adam Wheater.

The hosts lead by just 204 runs at Taunton and the visitors will believe they can walk away with something from this match.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Michael Carberrypublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Hampshire 128-3 v Middlesex 356

Nice moment for Michael Carberry and Hampshire after the opener's battles through this innings so far as Henry Moeran told us about earlier.

An eighth four of his innings brings up his landmark off the bowling of Ollie Rayner and it's come from 154 balls.

  4. Leicestershire collapse in Bristolpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Gloucestershire 466-8 dec v Leicestershire 37-3

    Bob Hunt
    BBC Radio Gloucestershire at Bristol

Gloucestershire are drinking their high energy drinks in bright spirits at Bristol, as the game has swung dramatically their way since lunch.

They were able to declare on 466-8 with Phil Mustard (72), Jack Taylor (60) and an unbeaten 54 from David Payne all contributing lustily.

Then in the seven overs left before tea the home side picked up the wickets of both openers, with Paul Horton and Harry Dearden falling to David Payne and Luke Norwell respectively.

The break did the visitors no good though as Neil Dexter was caught off the second ball after tea off Payne for a duck.

  5. Another one down for Durhampublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Durham 162 & 24-3 v Nottinghamshire 305

There's no shortage of wickets up at Chester-le-Street either and Luke Fletcher is in the action once again.

After his heroics with the bat earlier, he's now in the wickets again to snare out Michael Richardson leg before for just eight.

Durham still trailing by 119 runs.

  6. wicket

WICKET Gregory (c Browne b Wagner) 16published at 16:43 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Somerset 209 & 122-8 v Essex 129

Lewis Gregory becomes the fourth player to be dismissed in an identical fashion, as the Somerset batsman goes after a ball he should leave alone down the leg side and is caught at long-leg by Nick Browne.

It's been a line that the Essex bowlers have been probing all innings and the hosts batsmen continue to fall into the trap.

  7. Saying 'I do' in style...published at 16:40 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Hampshire 118-3 v Middlesex 356

I tried to talk my wife into tying the knot at a cricket ground when it was our turn.

She wasn't that keen on the idea, so I compromised on an alternative.

Looks like this pair had other ideas....

  8. Sussex finally dismissedpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Sussex 291 v Kent 304

Finally all over for Sussex's first innings at Hove and not only does Ben Brown (90) fall short of a well-deserved century, but Sussex also fall short of both a third batting point and a first-innings lead.

Man-of-the-moment Jofra Archer was unbeaten on 60 at the other end.

Kent will have a 13-run advantage going into the second dig.

  9. Ballance falls for Yorkshirepublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 v Yorkshire 170-4

Lovely bit of inswinging bowling at Edgbaston from Oliver Hannon-Dalby accounts for Yorkshire captain Gary Ballance for 22.

Just enough on it to square him up and find the edge through to Tim Ambrose, but despite that Yorkshire are edging ever closer to a first-innings lead.

  10. wicket

WICKET Van der Merwe (c ten Doeschate b Wagner) 2published at 16:29 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Somerset 209 & 111-7 v Essex 129

Nelson does it's job for Essex as Wagner strikes again after Roelof van der Merwe sends the ball straight into the hands of the visitors' captain Ryan ten Doeschate at mid-wicket.

We've said it many times today but it continues to be a poor batting display at Taunton. They're not the kind of shots you'd want to be watching on a loop, that's for sure.

  11. Carberry battling onpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Hampshire 113-3 v Middlesex 356

In light of the huge challenges he's faced in the past year, it really is a joy to see Michael Carberry not only playing, but also showing the sort of form that's made him one of the English game's most-respected batsman.

In the afternoon session, the Hampshire opener had to work hard to protect his wicket with Middlesex's attack bowling consistent and threatening lines. When the loose deliveries came, he put them away.

Even a painful-looking hand injury picked up after a collision with Toby Roland-Jones wasn't enough to knock Carberry off his stride, reaching tea 46 not out.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Jofra Archerpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Sussex 274-9 v Kent 304

Not been a bad couple of days for Sussex's Jofra Archer to be fair.

After a career-best 7-67 with the ball yesterday, he's gone and struck a half-century today to keep his side very much in the hunt for a first-innings lead.

  13. wicket

WICKET Trego (c Wheater b Wagner) 17published at 16:22 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Somerset 209 & 109-6 v Essex 129

A brilliant first over after tea for Essex as Neil Wagner has Peter Trego caught behind for 17.

Another quick few wickets and the visitors will feel they will still be in with a chance of walking away with an impressive victory.

  14. Shocking start for Durhampublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Durham 162 & 8-2 v Nottinghamshire 305

A sorry start to Steve Cook's Durham career is complete as he edges his sixth ball from Jake Ball to Rikki Wessels at second slip. He made only two in the first innings and none in the second.

Ball then had Jack Burnham caught behind in his next over for four, purely beaten for pace and Durham are in a mess at 8-2, still 135 behind Nottinghamshire's first innings score of 305 all out.

It's alright having the mantra "bounce back together" but that has to be backed up on the pitch and the batting conditions are a lot better today than they were yesterday.

  15. Sussex tail wags at Hovepublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Sussex 269-9 v Kent 304

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex at Hove

A good recovery from Sussex who were at one stage were 58-5.

Not for the first time Ben Brown had led the recovery his half-century coming in 66 balls, and now Jofra Archer, fresh from his seven wickets yesterday is 47 not out.

The last wicket pair share an unbroken half century partnership.

  16. Not all about spin at Cyder-abadpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Somerset 209 & 108-5 v Essex 129

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Somerset at Taunton

    Neil WagnerImage source, Rex Features

Six wickets this morning, another seven this afternoon. So, another Cyderabad dustbowl?

    Well, not really.

There is some help for the spinners, but too many batsmen on both sides have been parties to their own demise.

That's why the feeling around the ground is that Essex are still very much in this game, even if they do have to chase 250-odd.

It has been a great game of cricket, but it's hard to see it going into a fourth day.

  17. wicket

WICKET Burnham (c Read b Ball) 4published at 16:13 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Durham 162 & 8-2 v Nottinghamshire 305

Durham continue to look as though they're batting on a completely different pitch to Nottinghamshire as Jake Ball picks up his second wicket of the innings in double quick time.

Jack Burnham prods forward at a fuller but only succeeds in sending the ball through to wicketkeeper Chris Read.

  18. Dawson falls on stroke of teapublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Hampshire 113-3 v Middlesex 356

Champions Middlesex bag themselves a very welcome wicket just before tea on the second day at the Ageas Bowl.

Liam Dawson, batting up the order ahead of the injured Rilee Rossouw, is the man to depart, caught behind by John Simpson off Ollie Rayner for 19.

  19. wicket

WICKET Cook (c Wessels b Ball) 0published at 16:06 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Durham 162 & 0-1 v Nottinghamshire 305

Immediate set-back for Durham at the start of their second innings as Steven Cook is dismissed by England seamer Jake Ball without scoring at the end of the first over.

Nottinghamshire looking very much on top in this one now.
