But they're still well behind the eight-ball.

If, three balls before lunch today, you had said to be that Kent would have 120 on the board in their second innings, I would have told you that there's more chance of me running in the Grand National.

Gloucestershire were 89-2, Chris Dent and Will Tavare were going nicely, and all seemed well.

But after Tavare fell just before the interval, a wonderful spell from Mitchell Claydon put an end to that. His 4-35 after lunch starting a collapse which saw the visitors bowled out for 149.

Kent now have a lead of 267 runs, and have the chance to add to that significantly tomorrow.

To borrow another sports' analogy, the ball is very much in the hosts' court.

After one of the most hectic days of county cricket I can remember, we're down to one game.

There are three overs left at Leicestershire - Mark Cosgrove and Gavin Griffiths battling to see them out without any further damage.

Thankfully for Warwickshire, day two is over.

It's been an absolute nightmare. Mark Footitt took 6-14 to help skittle the Bears for just 91, all after Surrey had lost their last seven wickets for 76 earlier in the day.

William Porterfield and Alex Mellor have done well to see out the final 10 overs, but it will take a miracle for them to escape from this one.

They'll start day three still 334 adrift.

Kent finish the second day in complete command.

Their lead is up to 267 with six second-innings wickets remaining.

Joe Denly's wicket just before stumps for 59 provided a late boost for Gloucestershire, but they face an uphill task to get anything from the game.

The game at Grace Road could well be over tonight.

Luke Fletcher takes his third wicket, bowling Ned Eckersley for four.

Leicestershire still trail by 39 with six overs left on day two.

An intriguing day in Leeds, which saw 15 wickets fall, comes to a close.

Kyle Abbott was the star man for Hampshire, taking 7-41, to give his side a slim chance of pulling off victory.

Hampshire openers Michael Carberry and Jimmy Adams will resume on day three needing 310 more to win.

It's been a wicketless first six overs for Surrey following the carnage we saw in Warwickshire's first innings.

There are four overs left in south London.

The evening session is going from bad to worse for Leicestershire.

Lancashire opener Alex Davies goes to his 14th first-class fifty in the final over of the day against Essex.

And it's been completely dominated by the Red Rose county.

After shooting Essex out for 159, Haseeb Hameed (45) and Davies pushed home Lancashire's advantage, which currently stands at 274.

You might want to take a look at this folks. It was as good a spell of fast bowling you are likely to see...

Amidst the carnage at Headingley, I did not get a chance to tell you Surrey had enforced the follow-on.

Hardly surprising with a first-innings lead of 363 and more than two days to go.

I mentioned just now that Kyle Abbott was part of the 'six-for club'. Scrap that, he now has 7-41.
