    Surrey 454 v Warwickshire 91

Warwickshire are 91 all out. And 363 behind Surrey.

The Curran brothers wrap up the innings - Oliver Hannon-Dalby hoiks Tom Curran to younger sibling Sam.

I'll let you know if they enforce the follow-on.

    Essex 159 v Lancashire 319 & 83-1

Haseeb Hameed is averaging 46 so far this campaign.

Absolutely pointless stat I know, but I was filling.

I need fill no more - we have news from The Oval...

  3. Wright showing fightpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Surrey 454 v Warwickshire 91-9

Batting has never been so easy at The Oval!

Warwickshire number 10 Chris Wright is boshing the Surrey bowlers everywhere and has quickly moved to a run-a-ball 28.

There's one problem - the Bears are still 363 behind the hosts with one wicket remaining.

It's good fun while it lasts though.

  4. wicket

WICKET Hameed (c Wheater b Beard) 45published at 17:46 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Essex 159 v Lancashire 319 & 83-1

Oh dear, Haseeb Hameed just misses out on a half-century for the second time in the match.

The Lancashire opener snicks one behind off 19-year-old Aaron Beard and follows his first-innings 47 with 45 this time.

But the England man has put his county side in a super position as day two draws to a close.

    Lancashire are 243 in front.

  5. NORTHANTS BEAT GLAMORGANpublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 8 April 2017
    Breaking

Northants 310 beat Glamorgan 101 & 187 by an innings and 22 runs

It's all over at Wantage Road - Glamorgan have taken an absolute thumping in their opening Division Two game.

Nathan Buck finishes things off, dismissing Marchant de Lange.

Northants take 22 points and are off to a flyer.

  6. wicket

WICKET Rafiq (c Ervine b Dawson) 2published at 17:39 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Yorkshire 273 & 165-7 v Hampshire 141

Yorkshire just can't get anything going in this second innings.

Azeem Rafiq goes cheaply to an excellent one-handed catch at slip by Sean Ervine off Liam Dawson.

The bad news for Hampshire fans - Yorkshire's lead is creeping up towards 300.

  7. Milestone for Broadpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Leicestershire 251 & 7-2 v Notts 329

He hasn't played all that much for Notts over the last few years, but still an impressive tally for the 30-year-old...

  8. Kent slowly building a big leadpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Kent 298 & 70-2 v Gloucestershire 149

    Adam Whitty
    BBC Radio Kent

Kent appeared to be going along rather swimmingly as the shadows lengthened in Canterbury on day two.

Joe Weatherley, on debut, and Joe Denly, were building an attiritional, but patient, 64 run partnership, and took the hosts lead past 200.

But Liam Norwell has just dismissed Weatherley after a mistimed hook shot, which will have caused some Kent members to spit out their afternoon tea.

The lead though is now 219, and this game is fully in Kent's control.

  10. Early wickets for Nottspublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Leicestershire 251 & 2-2 v Notts 329

Leicestershire are in early bother in their second innings.

James Pattinson got rid of Harry Dearden for nought, and fellow opener Paul Horton has just been trapped lbw by England paceman Stuart Broad.

  11. wicket

WICKET Ballance (c McManus b Wheal) 55published at 17:26 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Yorkshire 273 & 156-6 v Hampshire 141

Hampshire are just about clinging on at Headingley.

Gary Ballance edges Brad Wheal behind and the captain goes for an excellent 55.

The Yorkshire advantage is still 288. I don't fancy Hampshire's chances, but cricket is a strange old sport.

Just look at what's going on at The Oval.

  12. wicket

    WICKET Patel (c Borthwick b S Curran) 8published at 17:22 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Surrey 454 v Warwickshire 61-9

Sam Curran is in on the swing the ball, find an edge, catch them at slip, game.

Jeetan Patel gives Scott Borthwick his fourth catch of the innings.

Warwickshire are facing an early contender for lowest score of the season.

  13. Hameed approaching fiftypublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Essex 159 v Lancashire 319 & 68-0

How cool and composed is Haseeb Hameed?

The Lancashire opener was struck by a fiery Neil Wagner delivery, but the 20-year-old continues to look un-flustered. He's never flustered.

Hameed is up to 39, Alex Davies is 26, and the lead is 228. Life is sweet for Lancashire supporters.

    Surrey 454 v Warwickshire 61-8

You can breathe a sigh of relief Bears fans, Mark Footitt is replaced by Sam Curran.

The left-armer's spell - nine overs, 6-14. Wow.

  16. Pattinson stranded on 89published at 17:12 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Leicestershire 251 v Notts 329

    James PattinsonImage source, Rex Features

There will be no maiden first-class hundred for James Pattinson.

The Australian is left high and dry 11 short as Harry Gurney departs to Ben Raine.

Leicestershire seamer Raine finishes with 6-66, but Notts have a decent first-innings lead of 78.

  17. 50 runs

Fifty for Ballancepublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Yorkshire 273 & 138-5 v Hampshire 141

Gary Ballance is giving the England selectors some thinking to do.

The Yorkshire skipper backs up his first-innings century with a fifty.

The left-hander got there off 76 balls with seven fours.

  18. wicket

WICKET Ambrose (c Borthwick b Dernbach) 6published at 17:06 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Surrey 454 v Warwickshire 48-8

MARK FOOT...Not really, it's actually Jade Dernbach with the wicket for Surrey this time.

Tim Ambrose plays with a straight bat, but it finds the edge and Scott Borthwick takes a simple catch at slip.

Warwickshire have lost eight wickets for 18 runs. Collapse doesn't do it justice.

  20. wicket

WICKET Bresnan (c Dawson b Abbott) 0published at 17:00 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Yorkshire 273 & 115-5 v Hampshire 141

Kyle Abbott is also in the wickets for Hampshire.

The South Africa seamer now has 5-32 and is giving his side a fighting chance.

Tim Bresnan mis-times him to Liam Dawson at mid-wicket and goes for a duck. It's a pair for the Yorkshire all-rounder.

Hampshire are still in this. Yorkshire lead by 247.
