  1. Durham searching for final scalppublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Gloucestershire 303 & 314-9 (110 overs) v Durham 419

David Payne (34 not out) and Chris Liddle (19 not out) continue to frustrate the Durham bowlers and their last-wicket stand has now stretched to 41 runs.

There are only 37 overs left in the day and the home side lead by 198 runs. There may well still be a possibility of run chase there for the visitors but it's becoming more unlikely by the over.

  2. Warwickshire bat onpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Warwickshire 332 & 370-8 (113 overs) v Surrey 437

Warwickshire have batted themselves to safety and once the players finally do go off for tea, you'd presume the shaking of hands would follow soon after.

The hosts lead by 265 runs at Edgbaston with 30 overs remaining.

WICKET Davey (lbw McLaren) 2published at 15:44 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Lancashire 109 & 463 v Somerset 278 & 107-7 (39.3 overs)

Tea is taken after Josh Davey becomes the latest Somerset batsman to depart. Ryan McLaren is proving a shrewd acquisition by Hampshire and he now has 3-23 from 7.3 overs. Forget Somerset's target to 295, it's all about whether their tail-enders can bat out time now.

  5. Foxes struck early in gloompublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Leciestershire 420 & 360-6 dec v Glamorgan 426 & 23-2 (10 overs)

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Leicestershire struck two early blows in their bid to bowl Glamorgan out on the final afternoon at Grace Road, before bad light forced an early tea.

Nick Selman fell lbw to a shooter from Clint McKay while David Lloyd edged Ben Raine to slip.

Earlier Mark Pettini made 110 not out, but Ned Eckersley's declaration offered Glamorgan no real incentive to chase 335 at 6.23 runs per over, even before a shower cut the overs even further.

Glamorgan need Jacques Rudolph and Colin Ingram to take the sting out of the Foxes' attack, but they could still get more weather assistance.

  6. Early tea taken at Grace Roadpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Leciestershire 420 & 360-6 dec v Glamorgan 426 & 23-2 (10)

The weather intervenes at Grace Road and an early tea is called.

Glamorgan still have another 44 overs this evening to survive to stop from falling to third successive loss.

  7. Back out at Bristolpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Gloucestershire 303 & 297-9 (104.1 overs) v Durham 419

The players have returned to pitch at Bristol, where Gloucestershire have one wicket remaining.

The hosts lead by 143 runs with 40.5 overs remaining in the day.

  8. wicket

WICKET Hildreth (lbw McLaren 43)published at 15:32 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Lancashire 109 & 463 v Somerset 278 & 103-6 (37 overs)

    Ryan McLarenImage source, Rex Features

Lancashire drew their opening two games, but after Peter Trego attempts to drive Jordan Clark and edges to first slip, and James Hildreth is lbw four balls later, this one is looking likely to go their way.

Remember, Somerset's target is 295, but it will surely be a miracle if they get there now.

  9. wicket

WICKET Patel (lbw T Curran) 20published at 15:26 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Warwickshire 332 & 348-8 (107.1 overs) v Surrey 437

Tom Curran claims his fourth wicket but even if Surrey can pick up the last two very quickly, do they have time left in the game to knock off the runs? It's looking unlikely now, with Warwickshire 239 ahead.

  10. 150 runs

Ballance marches on for Tykespublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Hampshire 455 v Yorkshire 231 & 325-5 (113 overs)

    Kevan James
    Sport Presenter, BBC Radio Solent

Is time running out for Hampshire?

Yorkshire's lead is 101 runs, but Hampshire have failed to make a breakthrough since lunch.

Gary Ballance is still there, having reached 150 off 336 balls, while Tim Bresnan has offered a couple of sharp chances to the slips, but both would have been good catches had they been held.

Hampshire have been in the field since just before 4.00pm on Saturday - and that session was 43 overs straight through - which is a long time to keep your intensity.

  11. wicket

WICKET Lloyd (c Dearden b Raine) 4published at 15:15 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Leciestershire 420 & 360-6 dec v Glamorgan 426 & 20-2

As so often happens after a brief break, a wicket falls, with David Lloyd edging Ben Raine to Harry Dearden at slip.

Might there be an exciting end to the game at Grace Road?

  12. Taken off at Lord'spublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Middlesex 507-7 dec & 239-3 dec v Essex 295 & 130-6 (57 overs) - target 452

The light has won and the umpires are forced to take the players off as the fairly noisy covers are put into place.

It's exactly what Essex want right now but questions are going to remain about what Middlesex batted so long in the final session yesterday if they don't get back out at Lord's.

  14. Bad light stops play at Bristolpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Gloucestershire 303 & 297-9 (103.3 overs) v Durham 419

Durham captain Paul Collingwood brought himself on under gloomy skies in Bristol but after bowling a bouncer, the umpires take the players off the pitch.

Gloucestershire's last-wicket pair are frustrating the visitors, having added 22 so far, and have stretched the hosts lead to 181. There were 44.5 overs left to play but that will change now.

  15. rain stops play

Rain delay at Grace Roadpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Leicestershire 420 & 360-6 dec v Glamorgan 426 & 16-1 (5.1 overs)

Only Leicestershire can realistically win this game, but the arrival of rain means they could rue a delayed declaration. Clint McKay has removed first-innings centurion Nick Selman, who was lbw for four. Jacques Rudolph and David Lloyd are the not out batsmen.

  16. wicket

WICKET Davies (b Anderson) 3published at 14:57 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Lancashire 109 & 463 v Somerset 278 & 86-4 (29.3 overs)

    Jimmy AndersonImage source, Rex Features

Jimmy Anderson strikes again as he bowls Steven Davies and now it's Lancashire who are looking favourites for victory in this game. James Hildreth has 33 not out, but he needs support from the other end if he is to carry Somerset close to their target of 295.

  17. Light causing issues at Lord'spublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Middlesex 507-7 dec & 239-3 dec v Essex 295 & 121-6 (53 overs) - target 452

The umpires have told Middlesex that their fast bowlers can't be used with the light so poor currently, so they must rely on their medium pacers and spinners for now.

Of course all this trouble comes because of the law around using the floodlights at Lord's. Apparently it's so the neighbours don't complain. Why would anyone ever complain if they lived so close to a cricket ground!

  18. Draw still favourite at Edgbastonpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Warwickshire 332 & 320-7 (98 overs) v Surrey 437

    Clive Eakin
    BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Sport

Good batting from Warwickshire has taken them close to safety in this game but two quick wickets by Tom Curran, who now has seven in the match, has raised the possibility of a run chase here.

Ian Bell (99) and Tim Ambrose (85) both batted comfortably. The only bowler to cause them real problems was spinner Gareth Batty.

With Batty finding turn from the Birmingham end Jeetan Patel may fancy his chances should Surrey find themselves chasing a target but a draw remains the most likely outcome.

  19. wicket

WICKET Trescothick (c McLaren b Anderson) 36published at 14:46 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Lancashire 109 & 463 v Somerset 278 & 78-3 (26 overs)

Jimmy Anderson and Marcus Trescothick were once England team-mates - but there can be little cameraderie in this situation and the dismissal of the latter, caught at second slip, is a big blow to Somerset's chances of reaching their target.

If Lancashire manage to win this game after being bowled out for 109 on the opening day, that will be quite a performance.

  20. wicket

    WICKET ten Doeschate (c Franklin b Roland-Jones) 1published at 14:43 British Summer Time 24 April 2017

    Middlesex 507-7 dec & 239-3 dec v Essex 295 & 116-6 (50.5 overs) - target 452

    Toby Roland-JonesImage source, Rex Features

Essex captain Ryan ten Doeschate departs for just one as he's caught at third slip by James Franklin to give Toby Roland-Jones his third wicket of the innings.

It is looking particularly gloomy over Lord's and Ravi Bopara has had a word with the umpires but they play on for now.

If, and it is a big if, Middlesex are denied victory because of the weather surely more questions will be asked about whether they could have declared earlier yesterday evening.
