  1. Worcs 90-3 (target 364)published at 14 overs

    Clarke 15, D'Oliveira 35

Looks like the television cameras are trying to snaffle up those last few remaining slices of cake Ged was talking about just now.

Bit too hot for cake today isn't it?

Joe Clarke and Brett D'Oliveira meanwhile try to carve up Tom Curran again, but there's little on offer in that second over from the right-armer.

  2. 6 runs

Six from D'Oliveirapublished at 12.5 overs

    Worcs 87-3

    Have that Gareth Batty!

Big six from Brett D'Oliveira as he dances down the pitch and smashes him over the rope and long-off.

Worcestershire would like a few more of those.

  3. Worcs 78-3published at 12 overs

    Clarke 11, D'Oliveira 27

Tom Curran on to replace his younger brother Sam at the Diglis End and Brett D'Oliveira tucks into him with consecutive fours.

One through the covers and then a four through mid-wicket.

The crowd like that at New Road as a section break into song with a bit of acapella 'Stand By Me'.

Ian Wilson: Kumar Sangakkara best one day batsmen?

James: Pre season Darren Gough did lots of training with the Surrey bowlers shows they have learnt a lot!

  5. Worcs 68-3 (target 364)published at 11 overs

    Clarke 10, D'Oliveira 18

Former Worcestershire man Gareth Batty comes on to bowl now for Surrey. A few pantomime-esque boos from the crowd for the England spinner.

Cracking piece of fielding in the deep by Rory Burns to save two runs with a sliding stop. Brett D'Oliveira shifts around in his crease again as he works the singles.

Batty is bemused as a leg before shout is turned down by Rob Bailey against D'Oliveira.

Ten overs gone in Worcestershire's reply and it's all gone very quiet at New Road.

Their 63-3 sure does not sound as good as Surrey's 90-0 at the same stage some four hours ago.

The home side's hopes of 'doing a Notts' realistically went with the dismissal of Moeen Ali - and the home fans know it.

Worse still, they're about to stop serving tea and cakes in the Ladies Pavilion!

  7. Worcs 63-3 (target 364)published at 10 overs

    Clarke 9, D'Oliveira 14

Nice flick for four down to fine leg from Brett D'Oliveira as he shuffles across his crease to Sam Curran.

A second boundary in the over comes his way with a more uppish stroke over mid-on that skips across the rope.

Nine off the over at the end of the first powerplay.

  8. It was looking so good...published at 15:49 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

Moeen Ali was looking like the man for Worcestershire.

He had five fours and two sixes in his 23-ball 35.

But this delivery - his 36th ball faced - was his last shot of the day.

  9. Worcs 54-3 (target 364)published at 9 overs

    Clarke 7, D'Oliveira 2

Jade Dernbach again gives little away from the New Road End.

But, Clarke and D'Oliveira nicely work the singles to get five off the over.

  10. Worcs 49-3published at 8 overs

    Clarke 7, D'Oliveira 2

Sam Curran with another probing over of his left-arm seam.

Little for Joe Clarke and Brett D'Oliveira to get away, but this pair really need to rebuild things first for their side after those three early wickets.

  11. What a mess as Fell fallspublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

What you really don't need when chasing a gargantuan target is to throw wickets away with stupid run-outs.

No one in the Worcestershire camp will want to see this again.

    Sorry Tom Fell....

  12. Worcs 47-3 (target 364)published at 7 overs

    Clarke 6, D'Oliveira 1

Brett D'Oliveira joins Joe Clarke at the crease. He's away with a single into the offside of one of Jade Dernbach's not perfectly-executed slower balls.

No-ball called as it's above waist height to the batsman. Slower ball yorker gets Worcestershire just a single.

  13. 'One risk too many'published at 15:39 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

Moeen Ali was going along swimmingly but that's the way he plays; he plays with an element of risk and that was one too many.

It was hanging in the air for an eternity but a good pair of steady hands from Tom Curran bought about the wicket and that's a big loss for Worcestershire.

  14. wicket

    WICKET Moeen (c T Curran b Dernbach) 36published at 6.2 overs

    Worcs 42-3

This is all going horribly wrong for Worcestershire.

Moeen Ali hits a four off the first ball of Jade Dernbach's latest over but then horribly hoicks one in the air with an attempted lofted drive.

Tom Curran has a long time to wait underneath the high ball, but takes the catch and the hosts' danger man is on his way.

  15. Early wickets lost for hostspublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Worcs 38-2 (Moeen 32, Clarke 4)

Not the start Worcestershire needed facing such a huge run-chase.

Daryl Mitchell went without scoring in the second over and Surrey are already building a bit of pressure on the home batsman with those two early wickets.

Moeen has looked in decent touch though. Could he be the match-winner for the home side?

  16. Worcs 38-2 (target 364)published at 6 overs

    Moeen 32, Clarke 4

Sam Curran continues and Joe Clarke the new man in after Tom Fell's sudden departure pulls one away that nearly goes all the way for four.

Former Worcestershire man Gareth Batty makes the diving stop and slide on the rope to save a run.

  17. 'That ended up being a car crash'published at 15:30 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

When you run between the wickets there's two levels of communication, there's the initial call but also when you're crossing, you need to say something like 'looking for two' or something.

But I have a feeling that it completely broke down there. It ended up being a car crash, a gift for Surrey.

  18. wicket

WICKET Fell (run out) 1published at 4.5 overs

    Worcs 33-2

    Oh no! What's happened there?

Poor Tom Fell is run out as he and Moeen Ali get in a tangle with their calling and end up at the same end.

Moeen Ali hit it out towards the legside and it looked an easy two, but Fell went too early on the call and hadn't been paying attention to his partner saying no.

  19. 6 runs

    Six more!published at 4.4 overs

    Worcs 32-1

Next ball. Same result from Moeen Ali with a beauty of a shot right down the ground and over long-off.

  20. 6 runs

Six for Moeen Ali!published at 4.3 overs

    Worcs 26-1

Four more for Moeen Ali as Jade Dernbach drops short down legside and then the England man follows it up next ball with a nice six over long leg.

The home crowd enjoyed that one!
