20 oversDriven straight by Sciver, through the hands of the bowler Beams, wide of the fielder diving at mid-on and goes for four. Poor fielding. All seven runs from the over going to Sciver, who has batted sensibly since coming in when her captain was dismissed ...

19 oversThere's some tunes blaring out on the sound system in Bristol. Terrible tunes that is. That 'Oh I found myself a cheerleader' song. I can't help but tap my foot to it, which makes it worse.
On the field, Perry continues and some nice running from Beaumont and Sciver, but just the two singles from the over. As important as it is not to lose wickets, these two need keep the scoreboard ticking along.
Perry has come back nicely after being hit for some by Taylor in her first over.

18 oversBeams is bowling beautifully. Three singles conceded from as many balls before she gives it some flight to stop the flow of runs.
Time for drinks. Australia's morning so far.

TMS statisticianNat Sciver has now past 1,000 one-day runs for England, in her 31st innings.
She's the first woman to reach the milestone from fewer than 1,000 deliveries (943)
Eng 69-3published at 17 overs
17 oversTammy Beaumont is still there, she's got 18 from 30. She punches one back to the bowler Ellyse Perry who nonchalantly flicks the ball behind in the hope of running out Sciver backing up.
Some good fielding by Mooney at short mid-wicket stops a four and earns Perry a maiden.

Former Australia batter on BBC Test Match SpecialNine runs off that Beams over, which is a good sign for England. The positivity of Sciver and Beaumont is still in place. Even though they have lost wickets, England are able to keep the momentum going.

Natalie Sciver with her first boundary of the day.
Natalie Sciver with her second boundary of the day.
Fine batting as Beams darts them in and Sciver picks the length on both deliveries and pulls through mid-wicket. Much better from England.

11:28 BST 9 July 2017It is, thankfully, going a little smoother for England's men at Lord's. They have not lost a wicket yet this morning and have extended their lead over South Africa to 227 runs. Join Jamie Lillywhite here.

Another over goes and England restricted to just the three. Good line and length from Gardner.
Some glum looking England faces, with the team situated on the boundary edge. The hosts have some work to do here.

Former Australia batter on BBC Test Match SpecialThis is a bowling partnership that is working brilliantly for Australia. Knight tries to get it up and over Lanning but she doesn't drop those. Cometh the hour, cometh the off-spinner.

13.4 oversKnight c Lanning b Beams 2 (Eng 56-3)
Awful shot from the England captain. Australia were piling on the pressure and Knight decides to advance down the wicket and swat one for four, but the only flaw in her plan? She doesn't get hold of it in the slightest and gifts it to her Australian counterpart at mid-off.
Two wickets in two overs for Beams.

13 oversChris Brown is umpiring today, insert American singer/songwriter joke here.
Ashleigh Gardner continues and she gives it some flight, with good line, to restrict England to just the two. Australia stifling the runs a little here and racing through their overs.

Former Australia batter on BBC Test Match SpecialI can see what Taylor was trying to do. She was trying to ruffle Beams and get on top of her early. She wanted to get her feet moving and get after her early, not in a big way. But unfortunately for her she caught an inside edge.
Eng 52-2published at 12 overs
12 oversWicket-maiden from Beams. Just as England were starting to look a lot more settled, well certainly Sarah Taylor was, Australia got the breakthrough.
Captain Heather Knight comes to the crease and sees off the rest of the over.

Former Australia batter on BBC Test Match SpecialHuge. That is what Beams does. Meg Lanning often turns to her for the breakthrough. She has already got a few wickets this tournament but I can bet this is her favourite.
WICKETpublished at 11.1 overs
11.1 oversTaylor b Beams 35 (Eng 52-2)
I spoke too soon. New bowler Kristen Beams strikes with her first ball and it was the one they wanted. Taylor plays away from her body, doesn't quite get the line right, feet almost tangled and an inside edge sends the ball crashing into the stumps. Great start from the leg-spinner.
Eng 52-1published at 11 overs
11 oversA colleague just asked me if Taylor was batting well? All I could do was nod my head and say 'class' ... she had scored 254 runs this tournament coming into this match, including that wonderful 147 against South Africa.
Taylor is just as comfortable in picking the gaps and taking the singles as she is scoring the big shots. Four from the over as England reach 50, a good comeback after that early wicket.
Eng 48-1published at 10 overs
10 oversSchutt 5-0-15-1
We have seen Beaumont walking down the wicket to Megan Schutt so Australia have decided to bring the 'keeper up to the stumps, and it seems to have worked with just two from the over.
Schutt has bowled brilliantly so far today and has this wicket of Winfield to show for it.
