I am not sure what Meg Lanning was thinking having Villani bowl this last over.
Australia fall three runs short
Eng 259-8: Beaumont 49, Brunt 45*, Villani 3-42

What a shot! A checked, lofted drive by Gunn right down the ground off Villani's first ball.

260 could change this game but 250 feels in comfortable reach for Australia.
Better over from Schutt, assisted by some sharp fielding. Six singles off the penultimate.

Gunn is very tall, long limbs, she didn't try to over-hit it, just a bottom hand punch. Very good shot. How valuable could these runs be? England have been limping along but these two are giving England a chance, a bit of momentum.
Another sweet strike! Jenny Gunn finds the middle to put Beams into the stand at cow corner. Brunt follows it up with a powerful drive wide of extra cover for four. Brilliant stuff from England. Looks like they'll make 250 after all.
Great strike! Brunt takes a couple of strides to meet Gardner and hammer her fifth ball over the rope. Makes it 10 from a very good over for England. These two have put on a very useful 53 now.

Unbelievable over. This is what you need from your better bowlers. Beams gave it some air but with control and probing that tight line.
Canny move from Meg Lanning. Wicket-taking leggy Beams returns with England taking risks. She almost gets another scalp as Gunn hits the ball back at her but at such a pace that she can't hold on.

The old pro Gunn, spotting the gap. She was all about the placement.
Threading the needle. Gunn finds the smallest of gaps on the leg-side boundary with a neat flick off her legs from Gardner. Some useful runs coming now. Will it be enough, though?

I don't have a problem if England lose, because they are playing a top nation but it's when you lose without playing well.
Brunt 20, Gunn 17
Shot. Brunt moves to off to put Villani off and it works as she is given a full ball to sweep away for four. Brunt has a very important role to play in the next six overs.

England are massively struggling, it's because of the constant flow of wickets. It is a good wicket, which you can tell from the way we saw saw Sarah Taylor bat. It's a 270 par wicket but the danger here is England dribble to 230.
Better over for Australia. Just the three off Gardner's latest. England creep to 200.

Australia won't be worried about chasing down 220 odd, not at all. They've done it many times, they've done it at this ground.
More gifts from Australia. After conceding four singles, Villani lobs a tame ball down leg and watches on as it skips away for four wides. 10 from the over. England need more like it.
Tammy Beaumont looked on course for a half-century after she smashed a six off the bowling of Ellyse Perry but she ended up one run short when she looped a full toss up in the air and back to the bowler Ashleigh Gardner...
A very strange over ends with Gunn lopping an edge back over bowler Gardner to land safely behind her and between mid-on and mid-off. Gunn survives by the skin of her teeth.

Healy hasn't had a great day behind the stumps today, this is one she will want to forget. She had it in her hand but as it came down and hit the ground, the ball bounced out. It's a definite drop.
