There's been just 16 fours for England so far. Eight of those came in the first eight overs.

Hello! A little bit of showboating as Sharma tries to stop the ball in her follow through and ends up turning her dive into a cartwheel. England are clubbing the ball into the deep but have hit just one boundary since the 29th over.

Cancel that. Much better from Brunt! She pierces the infield with a drive off the spinner. The boundary makes it a much better over for England. Nine from it and crucially no dots.

  3. Eng 179-6published at 43 overs

The cheers from the Lord's crowd tell you the answer as the big screen reads "Not Out". Brunt survives. Home thanks to the full-stretch dive.

    Seven overs to go...

That's a good dive. She's home by six inches. I thought that would be a lot closer.

  5. Umpire reviewpublished at 42.4 overs

Every run is crucial. England sprint through for a single. Direct hit! Has Brunt made her ground?

  6. Eng 174-6published at 42 overs

The English fans are cheering every time the ball gets hit into the outfield, willing the ball to the rope. That mixed with the drumming and chanting of the Indians is making this quite an atmosphere and the England batters take a second to ensure they have their running sorted after a slight mix up.

Poonam is really looping the ball up and it almost works. Brunt gets a leading edge that is skied into the leg side. Safe! The Indians scramble but can't get there. Brunt whacks the ground with her bat. She knows that was a let off.

England need to get as many as they can. The more pressure you can put on Mithali Raj, the better. She will fancy anything around that 220 mark, where she can just bat. The key is to make India play outside their game plan.

  8. Eng 171-6published at 41 overs

    Brunt 15 Gunn 2

Katherine Brunt is using her feet well to get to the pitch of the spin of Rajeshwari Gayakwad. The bowler gets a boot to stop a run early in the over but can do nothing as Brunt plays the same shot for a single a few balls later. It is still just singles for England. These two are playing themselves in. When will the charge start?

If this is Jhulan Goswami's last World Cup, she will finish with 36 wickets, which puts her in joint third place on the list of leading wicket-takers.

England look a bit nervy. It's been up and down throughout this innings. It's been brilliant to watch.

  11. Eng 168-6published at 40 overs

    Brunt 13 Gunn 1

Katherine Brunt is ticking the score over nicely but that means Gunn is back on strike early in the over. Play and a miss. Good bowling from Goswami. Brunt comes down to give her partner some advice.

It helps. Eventually Gunn gets away at the 12th time of asking with a push to long on before Brunt nabs a single to keep the strike.

That's the end of Jhulan Goswami. She finishes her 10 overs with three wickets for 23 runs. Her last wicket was the big one of Nat Sciver...

  12. Eng 165-6published at 39 overs

Jenny Gunn is struggling to get off the mark. The Indian fielders are in tight to stop the single. Pressure building. Gunn goes for a drive when the ball wasn't quite there to hit and almost offers a catch to backward point.

10 deliveries faced, Gunn still on nought. Just one from the over.

India are fielding well now but at times it has been a little untidy...

I've played against Goswami many times. I can honestly say she's the most respected and liked cricketer in world cricket. Just the way she plays her cricket, she gives her absolute all. There's no-one more deserving of winning a World Cup than her. She's the hardest bowler I've faced because she always asks questions of you. Don't underestimate her with the bat - she can whack a cricket ball.

  14. Eng 164-6published at 38 overs

    Brunt 10 Gunn 0

Jhulan Goswami now has three wickets for just 20 runs in this World Cup final. England captain Heather Knight and opener Lauren Winfield are watching on from the Lord's balcony. They can do nothing. It is over to the England lower order to scrap their way to a decent total.

Goswami is pumped. She charges in but stops in her run up, I think unhappy with her field. She slams the ball into the stumps and has a few words with her skipper.

    Still, a wicket maiden.

It was more Katherine who pushed for that review, thinking it was going down leg side. That's a huge blow for England. You really felt Sciver could get them over the 250 ask. These two can bat but this is a World Cup final.

Sciver lbw Goswami 51 (Eng 164-6)

    Plumb. Massive blow to England.

Nat Sciver was crucial to this chase for England so she was right to review but it couldn't save her. She was down the pitch but the ball from seamer Goswami hit her right in the middle of the pad. It was going on to hit middle stump.

This has got to be doing quite a lot for it to be missing.

  18. England reviewpublished at 37.1 overs

Is Sciver gone lbw to Goswami? It looks out. The umpire gives it. England are going to take it upstairs. Huge moment.

  19. Eng 164-5published at 37 overs

The headband-wearing Shikha Pandey has a pained expression on her face. A tidy over is ruined as Katherine Brunt takes a couple of strides down and clubs her down the ground for four. Good start from Brunt. She came in with Goswami on a hat-trick but has quickly reached double figures.

Sciver is such a talent, and an unassuming character. She has to be there for England at the end.
