Sweep straight at the fielder. Unlucky for Marsh, a yard either side and it was four. Gunn makes it through for another run.
A big swing from Jenny Gunn sends a bottom edge spiraling down to fine leg, where a fine dive from Shikha Pandey limits her to a single.
Gunn on strike. The ball is slapped into the leg side but no mistake from the fielder at deep square leg. Just two to the total.
Here we go. It'll be Deepti Sharma to bowl the final over.
Laura Marsh sweeps hard to her first ball, and picks up a single.
Good finish from Gayakwad. Six singles from the over. That's excellent stuff. England have scrapped to 220 with one over left. Deepti Sharma will bowl it...
Three singles to start the penultimate over. Marsh comes down the track but there is no pace to work with from Gayakwad just one more single. Where can the batters find a boundary?

Only one team has made a higher score in a Women's World Cup final: Australia made 259-7 against the West Indies in 2013.
Gunn 19, Marsh 8
Fine leg is up and Laura Marsh fancies the scoop in that direction as her best boundary option but so far it is not coming off.
Here's a chance for Gunn. Pandey loses her discipline and bowls a waist-high full-toss. Free hit. Just the single from it but that's better Laura Marsh! She plays a much more conventional drive and gets it through the off-side field. Once it beats the fielder there is no way that is getting stopped. Fans are on their feet in the crowd. 14 from the over. England on the charge.

You always want to start the over with a boundary. It releases any pressure or any built-up angst.
Gunn 14, Marsh 3
Great start to the 48th over from England. Jenny Gunn whacks Shikha Pandey to the mid-wicket fence.
Clever from Marsh. She gets off the mark with a single and the later in the over laps the ball down to fine leg for a couple. That brings up the 200. A packed Lord's applauds. Great to see.
Laura Marsh is the new batter for England with four overs left but it will be Jenny Gunn on strike for the new over. The experienced Gunn needs to take control.

That was a really clever decision to go to the striker's end with the throw. Gunn would have made it but Brunt was well short of her ground.

You cannot keep Deepti Sharma out of the game. She's their highest wicket-taker in the tournament and she had Brunt caught well short.
Brunt run out Sharma 34 (Eng 196-7)
Outstanding fielding. Jenny Gunn knocks the ball straight to Deepti Sharma at extra cover and sets off for a single. Hit and Katherine Brunt is well short. That's just what Sharma does. Terrific accuracy. Brunt was not even in the picture. High fives all round.

Jhulan Goswami did the damage but England have been most befuddled by leg-spinner Poonam. She takes her cap with 2-36, the runs she has conceded the same as the pace of her bowling in mph. At one point it was down at 33. That's almost going backwards.

She got up quickly. She wasn't going to be pushed around by Jenny Gunn!
More really slow spin from Poonam Yadhav. It is really hard to get away. Katherine Brunt is waving her hand to Jenny Gunn, trying to tell her which way the ball is spinning.
Gunn sprints through for a single and clatters into bowler Poonam. There was only going to be one winner with the lanky Gunn up against the smallest player in the Indian line-up. The pair are smiling afterwards despite the bowler being knocked into the dirt.

When players have been playing well, the wicket has looked good. New batters have struggled but I think it's a good wicket.
