50 for Sciverpublished at 36.1 overs
What a player. What a tournament Nat Sciver is having. A single down the ground brings up her half century. She is the only player to hit two centuries in this competition. 14 overs left. Time for a third?

There's still lots of England batting to come. I think 250 is more than capable in the next 14 overs.
Sciver 49, Brunt 5
The England lower order has done well in this tournament and once again they're going to be needed to finish off the innings. Katherine Brunt and next bat in Jenny Gunn have both scored over 100 runs in total in the competition. 250 still has to be the target but just two runs come from the first over of the Powerplay.
Ah. Goswami has changed ends. Here she is back into the attack from the Pavilion End.
She has brought the Indians in the crowd to life with two wickets in two balls...

Verma actually went to run out Sciver behind her, which was the wrong move to make. That's a real opportunity missed.
Sciver 48, Brunt 4
What are India doing here? Jhulan Goswami has just taken two in two but she is off and the gentle spin of Harmanpreet Kaur returns. Goswami has bowled seven overs so she must be being saved for the death but the game could be won here if she bowled an over like the last.
Confusion! What a miss for India. Nat Sciver sprints through for a second run but Katherine Brunt doesn't react. She is stranded halfway down the pitch but the ball is thrown to the wrong end.
Hands on heads from the Indians.

The third fifty in this England innings has come off just 56 balls. So England are quickening the pace - and I don't think that will slow with Katherine Brunt.
Sciver 45, Brunt 3
The drums are banging at Lord's. The Indians are fizzing the ball in from the outfield.
Not that time, perhaps a little too energetic. A misfield allows England to turn a single into a couple. Sciver is still there and closing on her half century. She is crucial to this England innings now.

Goswami doesn't give up. She's gone a lot fuller and starting to probe. The Indian fans are loving it.
Katherine Brunt comes in and lunges forward to the hat-trick ball. Right in the middle of the bat. No need to panic. The Indian players are pumped after that over.
The replays show that Fran Wilson dismissal was just clipping the leg stump so a good decision from the umpire and a good decision not to review.

I just thought that might have been a bit leg side! I think if they look at Hawk-Eye, that could be missing.
Wilson lbw Goswami 0 (Eng 146-5)
Two in two!
An inswinging yorker from Goswami and new batter Fran Wilson is hit on the pad. Huge appeal! Given!
Was that going down leg? No review from Wilson. Goswami is on a hat-trick. The Indians in the crowd are going wild.

I think she hit it and she knew it. She even sent a signal there to Nat Sciver, to indicate that she hit it. In some ways, that's a gift, because Goswami wouldn't have expected to get one tailing one down.
Taylor c Verma b Goswami 45 (Eng 146-4)
What a horrible way to get out.
Goswami bowls down the leg side and Taylor steps across and tries to work the ball away but gets a tickle of an edge through to the keeper. The umpire took an age to raise the finger but Taylor didn't review. She knew she had hit it.
The batter had looked really good. A blow to England.

Neil Adam: Desperately need a rapid build of runs - D/L bound to count. Rainfall radar looks bad from about 40 mins from now
Taylor is still laughing away at the crease. She sticks her tongue out after trying and failing to work the ball into the leg side. The threat of rain has gone for now with 18 overs left. What can England get from here? Six an over gets them beyond 250. Ebony thinks that'll be difficult to chase, could England get more?

I think anything above 250 on this surface will be very, very difficult to chase.
Jhulan Goswami back into the attack. If we're going to see the Natmeg today I think it may come from her seam bowling. So far it has been powerful but conventional from Sciver (see below).
Catch! No! Goswami can't get to a chipped edge in her follow through from Sciver. She had to get around Taylor to get to the ball and gives a cheeky smile back towards the England batter after it falls to the turf.

AS: Fabulous rotation of strike by English batters. India will need to do the same.
Taylor 39 Sciver 39
One thing that has struck me is just how calm Sarah Taylor has looked at the crease today. She has been laughing and smiling right from the off. The batter has another chuckle as Sharma comes in to bowl but doesn't release, I think because Taylor is wandering down early at the non-strikers' end.
Five runs from the over with very little alarm. Good stuff.
