  1. Ind 161-3published at 37 overs

India need 68 runs from 78 balls

Wide from Laura Marsh and Punam Raut obliges, cutting through third man for another boundary. Alex Hartley dives to try and cut the ball off, misses and promptly gets shifted out of that position. The India fans in the crowd have ramped up the noise again. Plenty of parents and kids dancing around in the stands.

Krishnamurthy is not letting the occasion get to her. She has gone at every ball.

  3. Ind 155-3published at 36 overs

    Hartley 7-0-40-1

Powerplay time. Alex Hartley continues and gets Krishnamurthy driving down the ground, but a fine run from long on by Jenny Gunn cuts off another boundary. What a shot that was though, and it's brought up India's 150. Another lovely shuffle from Krishnamurthy, out of her crease and whizzing the ball through cover. This is some confidence, to be moving around so freely in a World Cup final.

Here's that dismissal of Harmanpreet Kaur that got England so pumped up...

But there's still the dangerous figure of Punam Raut to contend with.

  5. Missed stumping - Raut on 64published at 35 overs

    Ind 145-3

A missed stumping - from Sarah Taylor of all people. Laura Marsh is back into the attack, she draws Raut out of her crease, the batter fails to connect and Taylor fluffs the stumping. Raut was well out of her ground too. Oh dear. How crucial will that be?

That is a huge blow because Kaur brings power to this line-up. That will give England a huge lift. Alex Hartley has that name now for getting good players out.

  7. Ind 138-3published at 34 overs

India need 91 runs from 96 balls

Here's Veda Krishnamurthy and she sweeps at her first ball. A fine dive from Heather Knight keeps her on strike, before Hartley has a muted lbw appeal against her with the final delivery. What a good over.

Kaur is so dangerous, as she showed against Australia. That's why England were so pleased to see the back of her.

That is one hell of a catch. The ball was coming out of the crowd and going flat at Beaumont.

    Kaur c Beaumont b Hartley 51 (Ind 138-3)

What a catch! That's such a good take from Tammy Beaumont. Hartley tossed it up, Kaur chased it with a slog-sweep, and Beaumont had to crouch low to make sure she got both hands underneath it. It came quickly towards her, too. That's a big breakthrough for England, and it took a cracking piece of fielding to change things up.

    Ind 136-2

A big swing through leg brings Harmanpreet Kaur an easy single. She's hobbling a bit, to my eye. That run became more of a skip as she reached the other end. Another lbw from appeal but that's sliding down leg, and Raut helps the next leggy delivery square for her own fifty! That's another good half-century from the India batter, playing herself in and keeping the strike ticking over. Two massive sixes too, just for good measure.

Raut's fifty is the first by an India woman in a World Cup final.

  14. Ind 133-2published at 32 overs

    Target 229

Heather Knight moves her fielders around before throwing the ball to Alex Hartley. Kaur comes charging down the wicket from the non striker's end but Raut is unmoved, forcing Kaur to turn, and the throw just misses. Raut raises a hand in apology and makes up for it with a glorious cover drive that races away for four. That was right through the gap in the field, just a shimmy down the crease and a swing of the arms.

  16. Ind 127-2published at 31 overs

    Kaur 47, Raut 56

I like that all the India players are sat on the boundary edge, rather than up on the balcony. Just waiting for Mithali to whip out another book. Katherine Brunt is back, and Raut pushes hard from her first delivery to steal two runs. Brunt then stares down Alex Hartley as she lobs the ball at the non striker's end, misses, and India steal yet another single. I wouldn't want to get on Brunt's wrong side on the field. Off it, she's as nice as pie. On it, she's very much your angry Yorkshire bowler. A big lbw appeal from Brunt rounds off the over, but the umpire - and her captain - is unmoved.

It has been a good 50. The key thing was the aggression at the start. We haven't seen anyone in the England innings be aggressive but Raut got the game going and settled a few nerves for Inida. There is a long way to go.

50 for Rautpublished at 30 overs

    Ind 120-2

Shrubsole continues, and Raut drives uppishly for a couple. That was lucky, the ball bouncing just in front of Katherine Brunt, who came racing around the boundary edge. The drums speed up a tad as Kaur drives down the ground for a single. And the final single of the over brings about Raut's half-century! It's been a nicely constructed knock so far. Now to push on...

My work-mates are chuntering about Love Island. That's how the England players relaxed last night, according to this piece, external from The Guardian - an episode of Love Island and an early night. Sciver continues, mixing up her pace nicely, and Kaur plays a weird-looking flamingo shot, up on one leg and clipping the ball just past her stumps and down to the fine leg boundary. Think she was aiming that a little squarer, judging by the wry look on her face.
