    Target 229

It is always a risk to go for a fine sweep with Sarah Taylor behind the stumps. She pulled off an amazing catch earlier in her career, catching the ball off the face of the bat on sweep - and almost does the same again. She gambles and sticks up a left glove but just misses out this time.

Wow! That's big! Less of the sweeps more of this. Kaur charges down to Hartley and clears the advertising boards with a huge six.

I just saw Nasser Hussain - he's here with his daughter's school team.

  3. Ind 59-2published at 19 overs

    Raut 28, Kaur 10

Laura Marsh is bowling much quicker than the spinners we saw earlier from India. She is around the 50mph mark, compared to the 35mph of the likes of Punam. She's getting a decent bit of flight on the ball too and overspin which is causing the ball to dip as it gets own the pitch. Just three from the over.

It's coming out at a good speed from Alex Hartley. She really has come on leaps and bounds in this tournament. That's a decent start for her.

  5. Ind 55-2published at 18 overs

    Target 229

Someone needs to tell the captain at the Nursery End that Steph is a rubbish square leg fielder.

Kaur is getting a little twitchy with the run-rate climbing after her slow start. She comes down the pitch to Hartley but the left-arm spinner gets the ball well in the block hole to prevent the big shot. "That's what we want," says Sarah Taylor.

Kaur struggles to get the ball away and in the end is forced to sweep across the line just to get a single. A very good start from Alex Hartley.

Big game on at the Nursery End. Probably more important than the one in the middle for those taking part.

Harmanpreet Kaur has faced 23 balls with just four scoring strokes. That's 19 dot balls in her innings so far.

Just seven runs scored by Kaur even with this hefty blow down the ground.

Alex Hartley has probably been the pick of the England bowlers throughout the World Cup.

  9. Ind 54-2published at 17 overs

    Target 229

The required rate started at around four and a half but now is up over five as England continue to turn the screw. Despite a well-timed couple up the Lord's slope through point, India manage just the four from Marsh's third over.

We're going to have spin from both ends now. Here comes Alex Hartley...

I'm sensing a wicket. I'm sensing Raut trying to do something because England have really put the brakes on them. You can't let that required run-rate get above six.

  11. Ind 51-2published at 16 overs

    Target 229

A second maiden of the match for Jenny Gunn and a fourth of this innings. That is crucial when defending a low-ish total. The big hitting Kaur has just six from her first 20 balls, despite a big shot for four previously. She hasn't been able to collect singles as yet. Heather Knight produces a good diving stop to keep things that way.

Not the way you want to go as skipper in a World Cup final. Run out comfortably and not making too big an effort to make her ground...

That looked really close. They were all pointing that it had gone down the leg side but that might have been worth a cheeky little DRS.

  14. Ind 50-2published at 15 overs

Harmanpreet Kaur has some heavy strapping on her right arm and has been carrying an injury into this final. She even threw left-handed at times in the field earlier.

Injury? What injury? Not the cleanest hit but a Laura Marsh full toss is cluncked over mid on for four. Just in case you've forgotten Kaur hit 172 off 143 in the semi-final. This is not over.

A big appeal from Laura Marsh off the final ball but that was sneaking down leg, I reckon. Bowler and wicketkeeper agree and they choose against a review.

India have got to just bat. Bat until 30 overs, see where they are and then start the chase from there.

  16. Ind 45-2published at 14 overs

The passion in the England celebrations of that wicket were a great sight. Sarah Taylor ran away instantly, knowing Raj was out and Katherine Brunt's face was a picture as the decision was given on the big screen. Harmanpreet Kaur is the new batter and gets off the mark in Jenny Gunn's latest over.

It was also a big wicket because Raj, along with Punam Raut, had been looking good...

Mithali Raj finishes one run short of being this World Cup's top run scorer. It'll be Tammy Beaumont who takes that title with 410.

  19. Ind 43-2published at 13 overs

    Target 229

What a huge moment in this game. It doesn't look any batter on the eighth, ninth and 10th replay. It was always a risky single but Raj - the leading run scorer in women's ODI crickety - didn't make much of an effort. The bonus wicket came as spin was introduced intro the attack with Laura Marsh bowling down a maiden.

She didn't even try to run her bat in! I think Mithali Raj will rue that decision for a number of years. She wasn't even looking to push on.
