A very welcome half-century for Somerset captain Tom Abell as tea approaches on the final day at Lord's.

After a dip in form, he's made it to 50 off 111 balls and with six fours.

Somerset now more than 200 ahead as this one goes very much through the motions.

    Derbyshire (363 & 28-1) need 188 more runs to beat Nottinghamshire (229 & 349)

    Dave Bracegirdle
BBC Radio Nottingham commentator at Trent Bridge

Against all of the advance forecasts there was enough dry weather to allow some cricket at Trent Bridge on the final afternoon.

Nottinghamshire’s second innings was quickly closed, for 349, leaving the visitors a target of 216 in 49 overs. By tea, the visiting side had reached 28-1, from nine overs.

Luis Reece was the one wicket to fall when Derbyshire began their chase, hitting Fletcher to mid-off for 14. His side require a further 188 from 40 overs.

WICKET Reece (c Lumb b Fletcher) 14published at 15:18 British Summer Time 5 June 2017

    Nottinghamshire 229 & 349 v Derbyshire 363 & 16-1

Luis Reece started well but he punches Luke Fletcher straight to Michael Lumb at mid off and departs for 14.

Derbyshire need exactly 200 of 41.5 overs. If the rains stays away, surely that's a simple chase?

    Middlesex 358 v Somerset 443-9 dec & 101-3

It's all been going by rather sedately at Lord's of late as this game meanders to a draw.

But, Paul Stirling has come to have a bowl for Middlesex with his part-time spin and taken the wicket of James Hildreth.

Catches the under edge of his bat and John Simpson does the business behind the stumps. Somerset lead by 186.

  6. Australia's day so farpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 5 June 2017

    Bangladesh 88-3 (23 overs) v Australia

Right, apologies for the lack of updates from the Champions Trophy after the excitement of the past hour.

Rain has so far stayed away from The Oval where Australia have made a strong start against Bangladesh.

The Tigers elected to bat first, but have lost early wickets and been pegged back by Australia.

You can follow our live text commentary of that game with video highlights.

There's also Test Match Special commentary and BBC Two will have highlights this evening from 00:50 BST.

    Durham 166 & 376 v Northamptonshire 338 & 52-1

Alex Wakely is not hanging around. He gets the T20 Blast champions off to the perfect start in their reduced chase of 161 needed for victory against Durham.

The Northants captain sends Paul Coughlin for a pair of boundaries off the first over of the day.

The equation is now 153 runs off 41 overs.

  8. Ready for the off....at lastpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 5 June 2017

    Northamptonshire (338 & 44-1) need 161 more runs to beat Durham (166 & 376)

    Alex Winter
BBC Radio Northampton sport at Chester-le-Street

Well, remarkably despite a forecast suggesting it may be some time next week before any outdoor sport would be possible in the north east, it has dried up here and we're going to start at 15:05 BST with potentially 42 overs possible.

It's great news for Northamptonshire who need another 161 runs to win and with Worcestershire losing and potentially Notts going down too today, victory here could put Northants right back in the promotion shake up.

But it requires at least 90 minutes of clear weather - they will need at least 20 overs to get these runs you would think.

What won't help them is that, cricket being cricket, a tea break will be taken at 15:35 BST!
